Yep, absolutely. Plus, let's not discredit Tin Man Games. They are pioneers of digital gamebooks and are certainly the most prolific developer of them. I highly doubt inkle would do what they do without TMG laying the foundations. Also, check out the history of the FF in the Extras section. There's absolutely no shame in TMG listing inkle as part of this "movement"...some friendly competition is good, but I would be surprised if there wasn't mutual respect and admiration between the two.
My bad The game already had achievement, just unlocked the first achievement And tried the add on character, it have different story background at the start, but havent play far enough to know if there is a big difference to it or just a background story
I saw no improvement. I didn't think the 3D map added anything that couldn't be done with a more traditional 2D map, particularly since I found the graphics quite poor, lacking detail. The first three rooms I entered were all identical - table in the middle, box underneath, candle on top. I couldn't figure out if that was just lazy writing or if it was some sort of random room generator gone wonky. I found the combat dull.
Do souls have any purpose in the mobile version? It doesn't seem you can use them to buy new heroes (or anything for that matter) as in the other versions. I guess if you want more heroes, they have to be bought using real money via IAPs?
I say they improve but not in the way text is shown but in general. Game is about the story and the engine is your imagination. I'm loving every second with the game. The graphics are not the best in iOS but are amazing and a good representation for the story. But not all will appreciate this kind of game, only people who likes I. fiction or RPGs
I beg to differ The combat is more enjoyable than sorcery series IMO Graphic doesnt meant much, this is a gamebook... If i'm looking for graphic i would not play this, and play horizon zero dawn on ma ps4 pal
No offense, but I feel like you've got an impossible, can't win attitude about this. If it's not better than Sorcery! it's automatically a one-star game? I mean, it's interactive fiction, there will be major similarities. Would it get more stars from you if it was a straight up text adventure? If it was a 2D map, would that be better, or would that be even more derivative of Inkle? It's like you're saying that they're not allowed to try adding visual elements because Inkle has already invented the idea of adding visual elements. What's wrong with playing catchup to a series that was excellent and groundbreaking? Does every platformer get one star because they're shamelessly derivative followers of Super Mario Bros?
Wow I like a lot your point of view. I think is harsh to rate with 1 star a game for not liking it, is like giving Call of Duty 1 star because I don't like shooters, is a good game anyways. Best to talk about the game and not pointless discussions There is loot, the usual in this genre, weapons, gold, food, etc and different characters use some things or not. I hope there will be more games adapted like this
Yeah me too, is more appealing and easy to see where you are and not get lost. The base is the interactive book but all the things this add make it way better than a book
No offense FivepastTA but why do you care so much about attacking this game? You've got 40 some posts over the past five years and a quarter of them are to trash this game? Ah, probably better just not respond to them...
"Whatttaaa we got ova here?? A Cuppa Haters??" I never really enjoyed the other game books but I'm having a blast with this one, I love the room coming together as you enter and the different path you're given depending of your choice of characters Haters gonna hate let's move on and celebrate a game most of us like
Yeah exactly. You shared your negative opinion now let's move on. Personally loving the way they crafted this game
