Hello there , i'm stucking at the stage 18 , where the Tian got the new power and reset her level. So can someone help me how to defeat the enemy on stage 18 ?
Check out the thread for the iPad version; you should be able to find a strategy guide for that stage there. Basically it's all about the order you use to take out the GEARs.
No, and, no. The game is very story driven, and it really wouldn't make sense to go back and re-fight a battle (for much of the game you're supposed to be on the run, after all).
I kinda wish there was more of a tutorial/explanation for things in this game. I guess I'll ask here. How exactly does the upgrade system work? How is your barrier/shield determined at the beginning of each fight? How does the energy (the one with the lightning bolt icon) system work? How does the will system work? What's the number right underneath your character's little portrait in the 'encounter' screen (the one where you determine what weapon you use to fight with, abilities, defend/evade, etc.)? When I select the 'C.A' ability (counterattack?) a '(-2)' appears underneath it, and I've no idea what that means. How does the element system work?
*Not sure what your question is. Could you be more specific? There are several aspects to the upgrade system. *Barrier/Shield is determined by 1) Your barrier ability; 2) your shield ability; 3) terrain (the "defense score); will *Energy is pretty straightforward -- it's consumed as you use ranged or energized melee weapons. Depending on the results of the action, you gain or lose more of it during the battle. * Will affects pretty much everything -- think of it as "luck" in many role-playing games. It also determines whether you can handle some of the more powerful weapons in your arsenal. It can be consumed temporarily (if using melee skills like "Aim") or permanently (if using character skills like "Aptitude" or "Repair"). A large difference in will between your character and the enemy can make a big difference in the amount of damage you deal or sustain. * That little number is the temporary drop in your will when you use a particular combat ability. * The element system is complicated; I have yet to figure it out fully. Hope that helps. You may want to check out the iQuibi website for more info.
*I mean, when I gain those upgrade items from killing enemies, I get to use them to upgrade a gear, right? I'm assuming those upgrades are permanent and not just 'equip' sort of items? Do they get used up and then gone for good? *Answered. Also, I didn't realise barrier and shield were separate values. *Does energy recover at a certain rate if you choose not to do anything in a turn? *Answered. I'm not sure if I like will being used up permanently though. *Answered. *I guess I'll have to try and figure that out as well. It kinda looks like the typical element damage system (water > fire, wind > earth etc.). Thanks for the help.
Aww. Be comforting to know if you get stuck on a mission, you can grind a couple of levels and come back instead of continuously losing. But this is still the best purchase I made since PQ.
Ah, now I understand. There are two types of upgrades: the ores and equip-able items. All the ores you receive during combat are pooled together and made available to all the active GEAR. Those upgrades are permanent, but obviously you have to choose who gets them. In addition, every GEAR has one slot that can take a single equippable items. Those can be equipped and unequipped (then used by another GEAR). In the upgrade screen, you'll notice that there are tabs for upgrades and equipment -- upgrades refers to ores. Will increases at a certain rate when you choose to wait a turn, but I'm not sure about energy -- my guess is no. Oh, and when I said will being used permanently, I meant during that battle. It recovers between battles, though. Sorry to be unclear about that.
In case people missed it (it was at the top of the page for a whopping 10 minutes), here's TA's glowing review of WoE.
Yes. In fact, you often hear people in the forums say that they missed a review that was on the top only briefly. Above the fold rules .
Wasn't kidding, and I don't think I'm wrong. But I guess we'll see. @fluffyguitarist: more like Fire Emblem or Shinning Force, but not that far off from FF: Tactics (they're all SRPGs, after all).
In that case.... Lol @ both of ya thinking getting bumped down by a couple of posts makes a diff. As long as it's on first page, it has pretty much the same visibility as the first article. I don't know about you but I never visit a website and just take a look at whatever I can see without even scrolling down a bit. That's how I believe most other people visit online websites too.
It's even worse than that! Some people never even re-visit the home page after their first visit, and simply bookmark the forums and jump back into the games section of the forum each subsequent visit. On topic: War of Eustrath deserves more recognition! I can only hope to make my next few games so compelling and fun to play... picked it up to play a mission on "coffee break", and just put it down now, THREE HOURS LATER
Lol I read every article above the last one I read the previous time I logged on. However, I'm not sure that's how everyone's minds or habits are like.
