I bought it the second it was released on the itouch, and have not regretted it for a second. I am a huge SRPG fan, and this scratched the itch.

Decided to pick this up on the sale, ended up playing 4 missions instead of sleeping. The game really does have a surprising story with good suspense. The characters have a lot of personality and the dialogues are interesting.

Depends what kind of game you want. Looking for a JSRPG (Japanase Strategy RPG), then there really isn't anything better on the app store... At least not until Final Fantasy Tactics comes out next spring.

Can't put down this game all night. I love how the character themes play during their turns, to my surprise even the notable enemies have their themes as well. The game music suits the characters very well and gives them that personality touch that's rarely seen and IMO, much better than voice acting.

Anyway, I was wondering why does it seem so difficult to get Will points for Eve? Even when she kills the enemy I am getting minus Will points... when she successfully dodges she gets 0. So what am I missing? It seems as if she only gets +1s when I set her to wait a turn or +2 when she does a repair.

i gave in and bought the game finally.
Didn't notice there is a japanese option, if i knew this earlier i will buy it earlier.

but not all the text will be changed to japanese. only the story line is japanese but not the menu. names and skills are all in english. it is a bit weird.

Ok I am like kind of stuck at Stage 19, the part where you are alone with Tia at level 1. I am not sure what the strategy here is, other than luck?

    1) Yes, divine gems or igots.
    2) I don't think you can in the fight screen, if that's what you mean.
    3) It's part of the story. Sarah picks up repair parts at some point in the game. So far I have recruited Evelin, who's able to heal anyone the map using 5 Will points.

I am still stuck on Stage 19. Getting really frustrated now after resetting over 20 times.

On stage 19 (or 20, depending on how you play the game): It's been a while, but if I recall correctly, there's a sequence. You should start with the enemies on the right/middle. Make sure to use the ability that gives you twice the XP points (I forget the name); that way you will level up quickly.

After right middle, go after bottom middle (the second weakest), then top middle. Save the corners for last -- I forget the order. Make sure to do a quick-save every time you win a fight; restart from quick-save if necessary.

It's a frustrating stage, but when you win it, it feels great.

Thanks for the tip squarezero. Oh so how does the EXP boost ability work, exactly? I have used it before it didn't seem to make a big difference. Also am I suppose to use that in every turn?

And on stage 19 (or 20) the enemies are not stationary — they actually move (slowly) towards me from all directions, including the corner ones!

I'll do a restart in a bit (I have been quick loading over 30 times on this file now... but it's getting to the point where I have to dodge 4 times in a row before I make another Save).

i know in a mission i can press top right corner to see the details of my gears and characters.

u should use that exp skill everytime before u do a action that will gain exp.
for example, use it and kill your enemies. left them some hp and make sure u can kill one of them every turn.

one more question: how can i view enemy data on the map?

I hope you already cleared the stage, but I'll write down some tips anyway.

Every weapon's power is adjusted by the enemy's elemental property.
For example if you see Tianerx's Lightning Vortex, you'll find that it's more powerful on Water Elementals and very powerful on Earth Elementals, but less effective on Fire Elementals.
Most of Tianerx's weapons are more effective on Earth, so you'd better attack the Geo-Kinght first. Check the enemies weapons too, that you postpone battle against GEARs that are very strong against Wind Elementals.

As for 'Aptitude' ability, it gives you more EXP on one action. You'll gain 50% more EXP than usual, so with level 2 Aptitude, the pilot will gain twice the normal EXP.

At your turn, you can simply tap the 'Cancel' button and explore the map. Cancel command does not finish your turn. Only 'Wait', 'Done' after move, attacks and repair will finish the turn.

Tapping anywhere on the map will show the property of the field on the top right panel (Field Info Panel).
If there's a unit on the cell, the unit's movement area and attack area will be shown on the map, and short information will be displayed on the Unit Info Panel below the Field Info Panel. You can tap the unit info panel to bring the full-sized Status Panel.

You can simply tap on the top left panel, which shows active unit's, to select the active unit and show action commands.

    @amber

Just realised that after we click on engage, the gear actually can still use abilities like elude, strength, C.A, etc provided that we click it before the duel really start. Is that how its suppose to work?

    Yes.
Out of 15 abilities, 5 abilities are effective for only one combat/duel and you use them just before starting the combat. In fact you cannot use them on normal ability panel.
As normal combat abilities are effective only once, you should select whether to use them every time you're attacked.

Other abilities are effective for just one action or one turn.
For example when Tia use Full Force, it'll be effective until her next turn. So every time she is attacked before her next turn, it's effective and give bonus to aim/dodge/attack power and defense. That is why it costs so much.
