Awesome This game is awesome. I just wish there's chat room for the world to chat with and an option to see the guilds. Besides that, I am rocking this game. I am on episode 5 right now. If anyone is on a guild, let me know. Thanks
I just started and had two questions: 1. Do I use the premium currency to add more spots for survivors or does that automatically increase with upgrades? 2. Is there an active TA guild for me to join? Don't know why it took me so long to download this. It's pretty great.
this game requires money if you want to be in top, good game but too many bugs,i lost resources few times, game back me 2 days earlie...
I rage quit this game today. It has, hands down, the absolute worst netcode of any game I've ever had on my phone. It requires massive amounts of bandwidth, takes an age to start up, then says "reconnecting" every few minutes. So many times I've taken actions, been disconnected, then found that my work was erased after logging back in. Many players on their forums have been "rolled back", losing days of work. You could argue that my connection is not good enough, but it's PERFECT for Clash of Clans, DomiNations, Rival Kingdoms, Total War, the list goes on. Walking Dead is the only game that consistently falls over. On top of that, I like to work on characters that I can see through to the end game. Walking Dead is based around leveling up survivors that you inevitably trash, over and over again. There's also virtually zero chance of getting a legendary survivor, and even then you may not get the max level you wanted - yet another variable. If you want an awesome turn-based game, with much more depth and polish, give X-Mercs a try. It's the best (freemium) example of the genre I've seen (X-Com not being free).
Normally in free to play games I only use iap currency on iap only items but this game.. dosen't actually have any heh. In this game I use it when I'm just shy of main party member upgrade.
And now I can't even play after purchasing fresh survivor bundle twice because of constant crashing afterward
I've been playing this game for ~8months. Haven't spent a dime yet and I'm around mid-high level-ish characters (lvl 17). The latest update allows you to have the chance of picking up Cast Characters from TWD, but it seems more of a cash grab to me as they've nerfed the level progression to pave a way for even higher level characters and buildings. As a casual player, this doesn't dent too much into my gameplay, but it does cause some frustration with the RNG when trying to draw good items or good characters. The PVP aspect has its own meta game that I have not developed as the character build strategy is different than what I'd normally like to play. In it you get box crates as reward, which can then be converted for items. Those box crates have no intrinsic value on your buildings so it's more of the idea of getting attacked and losing crates than any irreparable harm to your base. I'd say 80% of the game is farming for f2p players, but the joining a guild has its perks as you get crates faster. I guess even with the latest 2.0 update, it's still a nice game if you're into TWD and X-Com like gameplay. I don't know when the game will start to go rogue and gouge every penny from its players, but they're still aiming for a good free vs paid boost balance that you won't likely see unless you're ultra-competitive on the rankings. With the advent of upgrading characters beyond the highest legendary tier, I think that's a nod into getting pvp'ers into loosening their wallets even more. The Gold currency's use so far is to speed up buildings or action points and also to expand survivor capacity. After awhile, the survivor slots lose utility (especially now that you can cannibalise new characters to build up existing people). One trick is to speed up the food building upgrades in order not to lose out on food producing capacity. Other useful uses of money are the unlimited action points and the double XP boost. Their exchange rate for real money to points for recruiting new characters (radios) is a joke though. I'm satisfied enough with the game that I'm going to put some money on their survivor pack once I max out my food capacity, but the next 6 months will be pivotal in whether the company is going to sell out or not.
The game looks good for F2P but I think I spent more time on the Disconnected/Reloading screen than in the actual game.
I'm looking for a guild to join. Been sending requests and not getting any responses. Level 13. Have been playing for a few weeks now. If anyone knows a guild, let me know
