Serenity is another guild if anyone wants to join. We will be doing a cleanup today/tomorrow.

How do you access exploration missions?

I'm on the last part of episode 1 and it recommends level 3 characters (mine are only level 2). I assume I need to grind exploration missions for equipment and XP but I can't figure out how to access them.

dont worry about it, you can clear that mission with level 1's, daryl tells you about sneaking.
As far as i know, expolartions open in episode 2 and are repeatable.
What are the advantages of joining a guild? playing daily also, EU player.

Exploration missions start in episode 2 and for that final ep 1 mission, its there to teach you to be cautious so just... be cautious during it :)

Before I embark on one of those "deadly" missions, is there the option to flee (and basically just lose gas used and any winnings I would have made on the level) if things go poorly or do I have to watch my characters get killed off for good?

Deadly missions are just that deadly your characters die and you lose them, same applies to fleeing you have to pick a character to leave behind to die

Stick to explore until your ready to take those risks and never flee unless your best character is going to die then in that case choose a weaker character to die instead

I haven't lost anyone yet but I've been close a few times

You get guild rewards when the team gets to a certain number of points, so extra rewards and better stuff

Daaamn that sounds stressful. I don't want to lose my lone legendary character... :)
Will wait until I'm at least 1 level higher than the recommended one.

Do you have a strategy as to who to bring on your deadly missions? Scout vs bruiser etc and how many of each....

You're lucky I never got a legendary character
It depends on how powerful they are, never rush foward, use half steps it's #1 so you'll still have another step if you run into trouble.

I made the mistake of using all my gold to open slots for more characters but later on I ended up mostly only using 3 or 4 main ones, so be careful you don't need an army just a few really good men

    I don't actualy have a legendary. :)
Was more meant as a figure of speech. lol
Only have a rare so far.

Benefit though of having extra slots is it allows you to keep playing while your other characters are healing...
Kind of like having multiple cars in RR3... ;)

Other than keeping a character based on their rank, is there more of 2 to have for any?
ie 3 bruisers, only 1 hunter etc....2 scouts...

Thanks in advance for all your help

Try to only keep characters with higher level caps like you find an uncommon that's 3/7 and a rare that's 3/5 it's better to than get the uncommon because you'll waste money upgrading the rare only to get rid of them later.

Early on its better to have good attack vs energy, if you can kill with one strike you'll be better off because you want to leave before the others arrive

Always keep a hunter or two since they can hit more targets from a distance, bruisers are good for now since you're not that strong and they can stun a group

if you have 6 slots try to keep 2 of each till you get the shooter class and alway get rid of weaker members if you can. You can focus on training one character till there fully trained while using others. Don't forget to give the weakest stuff to the character before getting rid of then or you'll lose good gear

Pretty sure the following is a bug but damn I'm finding it useful in missions:

Shooters, if you tell them to shoot a walker it raises the respawn count of the next wave. But if their on guard and a zombie triggers their shot automatically, no respawn count increase.
