Nothing new as far as game play, typical ftp formulas, but the squad tactics are appealing as is the presentation and overall polish. I'll play it until it feels like either a treadmill. That usually happens a little after they ask you for a rating, which hasn't happened yet. On the other hand, if the paywall isn't overtly obvious, I may reward them with IAP. I need to be romanced (have fun playing) before I give it up too early. Question though, I find "locks" during the mission, which are used to "unlock" nine crates that magically appear after the mission. First, why would a lock open a lock? Second, where were these crates during the mission, and why are there always nine? Third, why if, I only find 3 locks would I be ok leaving the six remaining crates behind? It's the freaking apocalypse, people are so hungry they are eating each other, and I'm gonna leave free pork-n-beans just lying around? Seriously, devs try to hard to entice our gambling weaknesses, sometime the mechanics are just silly. In this case, why dont I find the crates on the mission? Want to entice IAP, implement lockpicking skill, let me store what I don't have the skill to open, but allow me to boost lockpicking via IAP as I collect more and more crates out of my skill range.
