How do I actually get the new episode? All it says is coming soon or the option to buy the bundle, which I don't want since I already bought all the other episodes Edit: nvm, I killed the app from the taskbar and restarted it, works fine now.
Eh it's no matter anyways, there's not really any choices to make during the game that really matter. There's an illusion of choice but everything ends up the same in the end. Don't get me wrong I love the game, but the story is in rails, I just make the game create new choices randomly when I start a new chapter.
Am I the only one who is having trouble downloading 1.4 onto my device? No matter how many times or how many ways I reinstall the app, it always seems to load 1.3 onto my device. Consequently, I can't download 400 Days. When I download it directly from the App Store after deleting the original off of my device, it begins to download the app and displays the new icon. However, once it finishes installing, the app icon reverts to the old one (yellower) and when I open it, 400 days is merely "COMING SOON". I'm just about ready to buy the Steam version instead, I'm getting really frustrated. UPDATE: Nevermind, I just turned off wifi on my computer and downloaded a copy off the Apple's servers for the 4th time, and somehow I got it. I hope no one else has this problem.
This is something that REALLY annoys me about complaints about this game. The themes and ideas behind the game, its the fact that your general choices all funnel towards similar outcomes is actually a hugely important thematic feel of the game. That no matter what you do or say, you won't get out of this unscathed, that not everything you do in life will change what occurs. How you may be able to control your own choices, but you can't make someone else's choice for them and you will still have to live with not only your own choices but the choices of everyone else. That's why it doesn't matter that your choices generally lead to the same conclusion, if you think about the ratio of characters, you only control a small fraction of the personalities involved, why would your one character have control over the actions and choices of everyone else. I feel that the desperation and the fact that you can't control everything that happens and just because you make a choice doesn't mean you can control the outcome is one of the best thematic elements in the game. There are even parts in the game where it will let you make a choice and then pull out the rug from your choice before you can even complete the chosen action. Just more ways to show that you don't really have control. The false sense of control is just like real life.
There are some issues with this, I noticed on the prisoner mini story, that at times I would select a piece of dialogue to say, and my character would say one of the others instead?! I noticed it and so from then on I made sure which one i was clicking on, and on a couple of occasions it continued to ignore what I chose. Weird glitch. I also feel that you don't have quite as much control over what happens on 400 days over the other episodes because at times it will choose to leave a character behind etc. when I never knew that it was going to happen. In the first 5 episodes, I knew exactly what I was doing when I selected something, and what it's immediate consequences would be. Still very good but I feel not quite up to the quality of the first 5 episodes and has left me confused and annoyed at times
Also true. I definitely wouldn't want my every choice actually deciding every outcome. It's pretty much perfect. But since it doesn't, it really doesn't matter what it remembers. Other than the character you may or may not have let die.
That's true coming from someone playing on ios or someone who keeps deleting the game after playing, but my fiancée and I are very protective over our saves on Xbox 360 and will continue to be that way since things in season 1 and 400 days will affect season 2.
Given the choice I'd totally save it. But I'm not gonna let the iOS app idly take up all my space for a year. I'll just have to replay the first episodes. Poor me.
At the start (not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but) duck and kenny are at the gas station at the very start. Remember when he said some freak tried to grab duck? Yeah.
iv'e finished the whole of season 1 and deleted the game and now when i purchased the 400days episode it still says coming soon as well as the other episodes except episode 1. do i have to play all over again to play 400 days?
400 days was good, but so short and I expected more ties to the original chapters or even to each other. Only a few loose or debatable ties. A great series overall and I can't wait for season 2.
In the UK at least, the Multi-pack purchase is more expensive than buying the episodes 2-5 plus 400 Days separately! Weird!
Finished the 400 days dlc..it's short but worth it..i got all 6 of them to follow the recruiter..and im happy to see some season one characters to appear in 400 days Spoiler carley, vernon and the invalids also its good to know that their stories are related to each other, i mean the new cast of 400 days
So I presume the group that you take with you are the ones you will play with in season 2? I still can't really see how the whole transfer over to season 2 will work on iOS, how will it know which characters you took with you, I feel that iOS isn't quite capable of that kind of memory over apps? Have they'd definitely said that that feature will work on iOS? I assume it will but I will be really surprised if it works well
Ugh... only just realised that I'm another who deleted the app to make space and so have lost my saves. That's a real pain. I don't actually seem to be able to buy 400 Days yet anyway (in Ireland). Gives me the full bundle option but seemingly no option yet to buy 400 Days. Just says Coming Soon.
where is the 400 days? I delete the game after I finished 5 Episodes months ago, now I re-download it; in EPISODES I re-purchase back all the chapters, but there is no 400 days DLC for me to purchase/download, do I need to complete the 5 Episodes again in order to unlock the additional DLC? I already played it 2 times, don't want to play it the third time before playing some new stuff. [UPDATED] found it, I need to close the app after re-purchase the 5 chapters, reopen the app, now the 400 days DLC shows up, gosh!
Wow, 400 Days was short. Barely took an hour to get through it. Finished it in one sitting with the gf just now. It was a nice bridge episode though. Cant wait for season 2. Glad I didn't have any problems downloading it.
Yeah. 400 days was really short. I got through quiet quickly. However I will start all over 400 days again. Just to see what happens. I am really excited for the next big episodes. Glad I didn't delete anything.
