I just thought it would be good to have a thread to discuss all of this. Living in Montreal myself it's pretty cool to be having this in our country. Who's watching the opening ceremonies right now?

Yeah, that was depressing. On another note, I got to go to the final rehearsals so I know how the entire ceremony goes.
well it was kinda hard to top that one in china. who knows, those people were probably breeded to do that opening ceromony
It's not like Vancouver has a million billion people to participate or the government cruel enough to force them to. But yeah, the Beijing opening ceremonies were definitely something to watch.
You can't compare each opening ceremony, as different countries have different cultures. The Beijing ceremonies were based on culture, music and the dancing arts. The Vancouver one was more entertainment and patriotism, so it was more casual, relaxed, and lacks uniform. The Beijing one is much more impressive on the visual level of course, since it took much more intensive training, but the Vancouver one was more relaxing to watch; I loved the Hallelujah song, who was the singer? He's really good. They're all impressive displays of human talent.
I fail to comprehend why you, sir, are laughing at my previous post. I believe that Australia has a perfectly good chance of winning at least, one, if not, more medals.
O.O Wow she was dressed in a tuxedo so I thought it was a guy. It's hard to tell from the voice, a mixture of masculine strength and endurance and feminine softness. So what's her name?
