The only comment I can make is the awful movement control: it is like a D-pad but not really... It is not locked so wherever you are on the screen, if you move your finger to the right, you will move to the right. So you have to adjust you finger position every 10 seconds if you want to go straight because the sensitivity and precision is high and the smallest movement is taken into account. Still very nice port! I remember when I pre-ordered it on Mac and couldn’t play it months after the release... The game kept crashing in dungeons and sometimes randomly blocked you between maps. That’s the reason it has received bad reviews on other platforms. Melee is mapped to a single button and based on movement direction — which is pretty common for hack n’ slash RPGs. Range attacks are based on movement direction as well, but there seems to bit a bit of target assist. I really like the dodge roll — each monster has their own attack signal, so once you learn it it’s very satisfying to use. Overall, the controls are very responsive, which is the main thing I want from this kind of game. The big caveat is that just because I got used to them doesn’t mean that you will. They're not going to get any closer to perfect than this. It just takes a second to click. Closest thing I can think of is movement in Death Road to Canada. Have you tried that out? In fact, as a whole, I don't think there's a more platform-aware game on the App Store. Everything has been well thought out regarding the various menus, assigning items/weapons to the single relative virtual button, button placement, opacity of the HUD/GUI relative to Sword of Ditto's location onscreen.
