Check out my long-ish review on Page 2. I thought it was fair. The game has promise but yeah, it needs music or something to give it some individuality or atmosphere. It feels very sterile, features and upcoming-features aside.
After reading through and looking at the posted link to a Google play review I'll hold off on this for now. While it might hold potential, there still seems to be some deal breakers with me from lag, typos, and lack of general polish. While it might be an alpha build and only a dollar, I will just throw it on my watch list and check for updates. If you want people to test a game, that's fine, just don't charge them for their help.
I played it on my iPad2. If you are playing it on iPad2 and it crashes everytime at the start, before starting a new game, go to settings and turn down most or all of the graphical settings. Then it should run. This game feels like an early prototype that the devs wanted to get out as quick as possible for some reason. I get the idea of an early release for feedback, but the problems of this game are obvious. Needs a lot of work before I play again.
Who ever cuts the grass in this games does a very good job!! There is no plants or grass sprites in this game. Feels very bland and boring
What this game needs is dynamic shadows on the 6/6plus and SSAO. iPhone 6 plus 1080p support. 60fps. More graphics options and effects. Please take away that stupid barrier it makes the game feel like ur in a box. Needs more zombies and animals and a lot of grass and bush sprites.
Very true, iOS App Store shouldn't be a place for early access type games. It's hard to follow what devs make a quick game for a quick buck, but no support or devs who truly want to create and update a good game.
I don't know. On PC a premium game costs $60.00. Yet some devs charge $100.00 or more for early access. It's an unfinished game. And there are plenty of gamers who pay that in order to be part of the early development process. So in contrast, $.99 doesn't seem like that much.
The developer just updated the game on android. Maybe the ios version is currently under review by Apple? Here is the update for android: ✔ new options in "Settings" menu: "Graphics", "Controls" and "Gameplay"; ✔ new HUD and inventory/crafting interface; ✔ new mobs added; ✔ many bugs fixed; ✔ optimization; You could contact the dev on facebook if you have an account. I don't have a facebook account. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Survivor-Rusty-Forest/669390363130297 https://www.facebook.com/thesurvivortipsandtricks He is more active on 'thesurvivortipsandtricks' Their email:[email protected] Please invite them here
Spoke to the dev via Facebook. There'll be updates coming for sure, he might come to this thread as well
