Develop your own personal routine as you care for your farm and your animals. Tend to your goats, make cheese with their milk, collect eggs and cook meals, grow vegetables and barter with the travelling merchant who brings increasingly disturbing letters from your family in the city. A follow up to the critically acclaimed Where the Goats Are, The Stillness of the Wind is a quiet rumination on life and loss. Be prepared to feel things. Plays like a simulation but has an ending. So many little details that evolve along with the story, don’t want to give anything away. This is a must-buy. For the price of a cup of coffee you get an evocative masterpiece. Just look at that artwork! swoolf Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 9, 2009 57 1 8 #4 swoolf, Feb 8, 2019 How long is the game? I beta tested but haven’t finished it yet. I would say a few hours at least. This is a wonderfully immersive narrative experience. Whether it’s a game or not is a matter of opinion. There are definitely activities, and you can screw things up in ways that have consequences. But it’s more about creating an emotional connection than about “playing.” If that’s your bag, this is a must get. swoolf Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 9, 2009 57 1 8 #6 swoolf, Feb 8, 2019 Thanks. You said you were using a Mini 2, older hardware and new games don’t really mix well these days. I assume you are also stuck using iOS 10. I know it’s hard sometimes, to come to terms with the fact that the device you’ve invested in can no longer keep up. Maybe it’s time to move on? Or maybe I’m completely wrong of course and you have encountered some bug affecting a small amount of iDevices. If that’s the case, I hope they fix it for you. Edit: I just checked and it requires iOS 11 or newer. Game is not working for me and other people, and if it was designed for newer models it should be stated to prevent from unnecessary purchase. Be aware people with older tablets and phones. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,715 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #16 squarezero, Feb 11, 2019 With all due respect, if you want to play newer, more hardware demanding games, you kind of do have a need for another Apple product. The iPad Mini 2 came out in 2013, before the current console generation got started. If you are interested in using your device as a serious gaming platform, you should expect to have to invest on the hardware. You can always pick up a different gaming device and keep your iPad Mini for less-processor and memory intensive tasks like web browsing, reading, etc. This game is available on the Switch (though for more money), for example. At the same time, it is safe to assume that most recent PC/console ports will not work well on a 6 year old device. The reason many people upgrade their devices regularly (including me) is to be able play the most recent games. If not for gaming and compatibility issues I’d actually prefer my older devices, especially the ones with earlier versions of IOS, when I had less problems with iBooks.
