No, it's a sequel; like how Revelations is a sequel to Brotherhood. BUT people consider Revelations to be a Brotherhood 'expansion' due to the lack of content. They say it doesn't have a huge impact on the main story, so it should have been sold as an optional expansion DLC.
No, what I means was that from what I heard, people considered Brotherhood AC2's expansion, since it's barely different (unlike 2 was from 1). I've never heard Revelations called Brotherhood's expansion before. That's all. ^^ Picked up Revelations first time it was on sale, should be a good play either way. I would say Assassin's Creed is pretty much up there among my favorite game series ever.
Oh, that's possible. Maybe I'm even mixing them up But if someone hasn't played any AC game, I'd recommend against starting from either Brotherhood or Revelations. Starting from AC1 is fine since it's about Desmond/Altair, but it's skippable. Starting from AC2 is fine as well, since it's the beginning of Desmond/Ezio's story. Even though there are some references to AC1 in AC2, it's not necessarily needed. Either way, I've only played AC2 so far, planning to start AC1 eventually And ACB after that.
Bleh, Skyrim won the community poll again. If it cost as much in NZ as it does overseas ($30) I'd totally buy it...
SummerSeal Anyone care for a 75% off Trine 2 Collectors Edition coupon? (Already have the game myself...) EN05M-R47AK-WQI73 Try your hand at the Frozenbyte SummerSeal slot machine!
Under maintenance, or so the site says. EDIT: Should anyone not have Limbo, today is the time to change that.
Also, anyone out there who likes playing with trains, Railworks3 is on sale for a whopping 90% off, $4 will get you the Deluxe version with one of the best US routes, $7.14 will get you that plus two more major US routes. Don't let the $2000 worth of available DLC scare you - there's a crap ton of free routes/trains/etc on the web for RW3. Also you can build your own routes. Also also Railworks has always upgraded the main app for free (part of why the DLC is expensive, if you buy RW3 it'll turn into RW4 for free, etc. they make their money on DLC.) Also also also (!?) most people are only interested in certain things (US vs European routes, steam vs diesel vs electric engines) and wouldn't want most of the DLC.
Not a Steam deal, but this thread seems to be the main one for PC game discussion, so.. There's a The Witcher promo at GOG: [link]
SummerSeal site is back up (this is put on by Frozenbyte). Here's the link: http://www.summerseal.com/
I've picked up Dungeons of Dreadmor and KOTOR so far, there really aren't too many Mac games on sale (or any Mac games at all for that matter). But when Windows 8 is released I'll either get that or 7 and set up a PC partition via Boot Camp. That should greatly expand my gaming options on my Mac in the future!
Omg, missed the Trine 2 sale! Haven't been checking Steam. Didn't even know the summer sales started. Finally grabbed Bastion though!
Haha well at least theres a couple days left. Also if you didn't read the rest of the posts head over to summerseal.com. Its a promotion by frozenbyte handing out 75% off trine 2 coupons and redemption codes for shadowgrounds.
What do people think of the Ys games? How are they on PC with mouse and keyboard? I've had a look and it does seem interesting, but if it's all click to attack and you have to spam-click... that might just be a dealbreaker.
Old-school Action RPG Wanderlust: Rebirth was just released. I played the demo while it was in development and it was pretty good. Plus It appears that part of the profit will go to Starbound development. Probably will have to buy tonight
Here is a Steam key for World of Goo, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, and EDGE. Enjoy E2C42-PH2V7-HZHD6
