The Simpsons Arcade Game was ported to the Commodore 64... ...and therefore could very easily be ported to the iPhone via C64!
Just to let anyone who loves the Good Old Simpsons Arcade know, you can download a Mame Emulator and Download The Simpsons Arcade game and Emulate it on your PC! And if you have a Jailbroken iPhone you can Download Mame4iphone and play it in the iPhone

Anyone know how much this is going to be? It's going to be out soon according to TA and I just want to know if I should hold onto my 3 bucks or go spend it on random 99 cent apps. I want this game, even though it's not the amazing arcade game that I'm addicted to. Wish Konami would do a port of that one. Wait, forget that, after their port of Silent Scope I want to see no more ports of great games by them... Someone good do a port of the original.
Its not the game your thinking of its a upgraded port of a J2ME the game but is still pretty similar to the original.
Yeah, I was a bit let down when I saw that. I'll probably still get this, but I miss the sound effects from the original. And being able to play as Bart.
I have played the Simpsons on MAME as I still own it in my Garage($600) but wanna carry it around with me... After watching the video and playing the original on the IPod, it has almost similar music and Villians. Just I assume you play as Homer 100% of the time :-/ It's pretty cool that they have an updated version though, hopefully this is better than the Family Guy port!
Well, it's not exactly a port but it is very similar gameplay wise. Everything you could do in the arcade one excluding the combo attack which I found accidentally, can be done in this from what I saw in the gameplay video. It just looks like it'd be a bit more optimized for single player. Just hope they put out a "Simpsons Arcade Classic" app with online/local multiplayer. That'd be the best thing ever.
Dude, you have the arcade cabinet!!! I HATE YOU!!! Lol, next to maybe House of the Dead or Time Crisis, that's my favorite arcade game. Can't go to the arcade without playing it. Speaking of which, there was this one I played with my friend called Warzaid. It pwned, but the machine broke and we never found another one. It was war, but you were fighting skeletons. The game was just so fun, I can't believe it's gone.
I'm hoping that it's not too expensive. I know that it's not going to be $0.99 though because it's a branded game.
I hope this gets released before the 23rd, otherwise, it the earliest it would be released after that would be the 29th, and I wouldn't be able to wait that long.
