What if you restart the level? Is that what you mean by trying twice now? (I dunno why I'm troubleshooting you lol. But wondering if you tried that.)

If you want to double-check that you didn't make a mistake, I have a quick video walkthrough of that chapter here: http://youtu.be/LThPM4MkD5c

Or you could just update your software!

I did the same - I just considered the 5 bucks for the first try a donation for episode 1, and the 2nd 5 bucks episode 2. Money well spent, I love this game. Hope TA gives it some well deserved publicity.

Yeah, let me cripple my 4S just for this game which I could play on my 4S before the update. Also to just update to iOS7 is made somewhat difficult by Apple as they don't let you choose which iOS to update to. So I'd have to go to 8 or jump through a bunch of hoops to side load iOS7. And I already had iOS7 on my last 4S and it was pretty sluggish but once you upgrade to 7 you can never downgrade it.

Yeah, that's the other point I was going to make. All the iPodTouch 4's that could play this now can't get the update.

I'm sure the advice he'll you is to go spend a couple hundred or so on a new (old tech now) iPodTouch 5.

I was actually a bit worried with the new expansion that I'd be left behind and sure enough... it is.

What to do? If the dev isn't interested in recompiling with options for older versions of iOS then I guess it's a delete and forget. I mean, it's not like I'm short on games that I can run.

Why such an air of entitlement!? Ask yourself, what possible reason would the dev have to deliberately create a game that doesn't work on older devices other than to harm sales?

Seriously, if you want to run the latest software, you need to keep pace with hardware changes. If you're not willing to then stop moaning about it.

    Maybe this will work!

I think I may have found an answer to your problem. I was experiencing the same thing, but was able to progress by
going first to the time machine room to pick up the instant camera, and THEN returning to the room to pick up the corpse's level 4 key card. I found that picking up the key card first was causing my problems.
It is a bug, but a likely evadible one, or at least it was for me.

Let me know if that works!

If this is your problem, you can google how to edit an ipa so that it will run on lower different versions of iOS, it's pretty simple. However this will only work if the devs don't actually use any iOS 7 only APIs (the app will crash if they do.)

I know that feel about being stuck on older hardware/software, especially when it comes to iOS, bro.

I'm sorry to say that I have exactly the same problem. I hope they fix it soon, it's very frustrating

Overall thoughts on episode two? As good or better than episode one? Longer gameplay than episode one? Difficulty levels similar? Thanks!

    Mostly good impressions.

I haven't replayed Chapter 1 recently, but I feel like Chapter 2 is a similar length. There seem to be less puzzles using the time mechanic, where a change in the past affects the future.

The plot suffers from too much dry exposition, especially at the end of Chapter 8, but the overall story is worth seeing through to the end and I definitely feel that Episode 2 is worth the asking price.

I personally loved Chapter 2 better than Chapter 1. But both are great in my opinion. Chapter 2 seemed easier to navigate, but perhaps I've also become more skilled at 2D point & click games. After playing so many of them, you begin to figure out certain puzzles.

I also felt that the storyline was too wordy, and could have been condensed more, especially at the end. It almost took away from the visceral and intense feeling of the game instead of adding to it. I think less is more in terms of story and text, and they could have conveyed so much more feeling with images instead of convoluted storytelling.

Overall excellent game, and can't wait to see what else this studio is working on!

So I'm stuck on Episode 2, chapter 7.

I think I'm supposed to break down the door, but can't find what to break down the door with. I got the tanning bulb from the room with the machine, but can't see any use for it.

  18. Is there a lamp somewhere you might be able to use the bulb? ;)

If that doesn't help, you can always check my walkthrough: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2014/10/16/the-silent-age-episode-2-walkthrough/

If any of you bought the karma IAP previously, but your update didn't give you access and you had to email them for an unlock code how long did you have to wait? Wondering whether to keep waiting or not.
