Sanuku I'm sure you get this all the time (or maybe not as much as you should) but seriously thank you for the imps, vid posts, and everything else.
Is this game like skyrim? So life if u make a decision it can change everything, guilds, and hundreds of different little side quests and stuff?
I am not an expert on skyrim, but here. Hope it is helpful. Not huge choices but there are some choices and how you do things affect your partner and some sidequests but not too big to notice.
Haha, no I was talking to the dev. He's in my neck of the woods, BC (Canada, even!) hence the comment Thank you for the info, sadly it confirmed what I expected and I'm going to pass for now, I might pick this up in the new year but active fighting isn't something I can handle at this time. What I meant by " twitch" was gaming that requires fast responses , like an FPS/Active RPG which it seems this is, sadly something I can't do now.
You want to magically fix the problems in my hands preventing me from playing active games like this? Because I'd sure love you to stop being a troll and grow the hell up. Me, I'll continue buying quality games that I can play. I hoped this would be less active FPS and more passive gameplay. I can't do twitch gaming anymore because of a health condition Or is that not okay to have? Can you take a breather and grow up a bit?
Oh no, this was such a nice peaceful thread, until Colossotron stuff spilled over here. This is a peaceful happy thread. Shadow Sun is great fun.
@ andsoitgoes - sorry to hear that... What a silly comment. Hope all works out. Is this game really worth the hype? I must say I was expecting better graphics. More in the sense of the animation and fighting tho. Looks stiff to me. I'm a harsh critic tho - anyone else feel the same?
Hats off to the dev, this was a '12 o clocker' for me as i stayed up till midnight to get this and its great. Suddenly my iphone warns me theres 20% left of battery and i realise its 2am ! Here i am this morning drinking red bull as i'm tired but happy as anything that this great games come out. Really looking forward to playing it later. Love the fact it works on my iphone 4 as well. Congrats to the dev, hope it does well for you
I think it is better than the hype actually. Graphics wise, it is true ipad retina with effects which is really nice. The art style is a little stiff, kinda looks a little computerish, but the ipad retina really makes up for it. If I get a chance, I will post some more screenshots for you.
Sorry to hear about your hands. I could not imagine having something that prevented me from enjoying one of the things I enjoy the most.
Did u tried to optimise it for the A7 or did u just switched the trigger in hope the raw hardware power will compensate the non-optimization? It seems like so cuz i doubt u had enough time to optimize it before launch considering the Air was released just nearly two months ago. I'm rly sure the A7 can handle full screen post-processing effects in a game which runs smooth with these effects on an iPad 2.
Its quite depressing reading some of the comments about the graphics though. Its a classic RPG, Baldurs Gate might look a bit old regarding graphics but the masses dont mind as its an epic RPG. You want stunning graphics ? Dont moan when the file size is 1.7 gig then and it only works on the latest machines and might cost $5 as they had to spend a lot more money on graphic artists. Cant have it all. Graphics dont make a game, if they did we'll all be playing on the latest consoles I think some iOS users are really spoilt !! For the price you get a great RPG, so far it seems to have a lot of depth to it, the graphics are fine and just the same as games like Aralon/Order & Chaos. What brings it to life are the quests, interacting with people in the game etc. So far its a great game
I think that's what makes me a bit on edge. Especially with the fact that I'm dealing with massive health issues and gaming used to be an escape for me, and I've lost that. Ive likely spent more time playing the Mass Effect, Borderlands and Gears series more than I have with my wife of now 15 years =\ I've been dying for a non-action RPG akin to Neverwinter Nights for years, and seeing the dev's pedigree, and not having seen this before today, I hoped it would be more along that line, versus an Oblivion/Skyrim. I think anyone who balks at the graphics should try and put that to the back of their mind, good story and gameplay truly can make mediocre graphics seem truly insignificant. And for the price? It's crazy!
