Is this a good game to get? How similar is it to Rise of Lost Empires? That game failed me, and so did C&C. I don't want to even bother with Quantum Collapse. The only one that didn't fail me is Warfare Inc.

Never played settlers but I want something like skirmish and longer mission game plays. But without skirmish is ok, just 4+ hours on the missions will do.

Wayyyyyy better than Rise of Lost Empires.

It's a remake of Settlers IV for PC. It's also not your average RTS, more based on infrastructure and such (though combat is there)

Try the PC demo to see if you like it:

Thanks, will give it a try..

EDIT: Actually, I don't see it at all. Downloading the other one.

    Dang, it's only for Windows.

Strongly request to add a "free play mode" in the next update!!! Please!!
Missions have too much constraints and not fun enough if one wants to create a unique settle by his own way!

Oh, that sucks. Well, I still think that you should get the game. Rise of Lost Empires was really disappointing, but I'm having a lot of fun with this one.:)

I think you have plenty of freedom in the missions!

Still, would it hurt to add a freeplay mode?

Excellent game otherwise, but would be untouchable with a freeplay mode!

Right! This will be an instant classic with free play! As it is it's a great game than only comes up short of being perfect!

Gameloft will probably not going to add that :( I'll try the demo on another computer later.

Was hesitant on picking this one up as I have zero experience with the PC version, but am glad I did as it is turning out to be a fun little game.

Awesome, settlers4 was one of my favorite games back then, and to see this on the idevice made me a happy man! Playing it on the 1st gen and its running really smooth! I do miss a freeplay mode, though the missions do give u enough freedom! Great game for that price, i hope that there will be an multiplayer update, but think not lol

Oh the one about the Quantum Collapse Developer going Rouge and still selling a Broken and never again to be updated game?

    Was that it?

Is this better than Civilization. I bought that and hated. Is it like Age of Empire?

What didn't you like about Civilization? In my opinion, it's one of the best (if not the best) games on the App Store. It's highly polished and offers endless replay value. I haven't even delved into the "scenarios" and I've already put in probably 40 hours or so in the 5 or 6 games I've played. It's definitely the best value for me at only $5 (except maybe Eliminate, which is free).
