That's because they don't seem to announce a lot of games until they're already in the submission process. Not a bad tactic I must say, as it does reduce wait times significantly. Sadly, only bigger companies like Gameloft have the luxury to do just that. It would kill an indie dev to do the same. Anyway, I'm also quite curious about any impressions as I'm very tempted by this one. I've always had a soft spot for the Settlers franchise in my heart.
I played the PC versions and I've really been looking forward to this. Although...I only found out about it like yesterday. LOL.

Never fear my dear friends, I'm TOFTTing on this one. Huuuuuge Settlers fan. How big a fan, you ask? I actually managed to squeeze some enjoyment out of Settlers DS. Impressions soon, waiting for the download.
If you're over your limit on your credit card...the no, don't get the game now...no reason to purchase it and pay $4.99 plus interest for the game...it will still be here when you have the funds to purchase it.
thanks you for the guidance *phew*.................................................. screw it......................im buying it
the hell with, it buy it......................THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In a sense, yes. It's a real time strategy game that has a medieval setting. But the gameplay greatly differed, at least in the original versions of Settlers. Judging by the trailer, this port seems more on par with the new versions of the game, which give you direct control over your units. While most Settlers fan aren't big on this design change, it does make it more similar to your average RTS, in that case, Age of Empires.
Played the first tutorial and I was right thinking this is better than the DS version. What a beautiful game. Lots of nice details - builders with their hammers putting up a new building, birds flying over the landscape, foxes lurking about, fishes leaping in the river. Good menu layout. Well worth the release price. Sweetness.
Installing it now. I'm no Big Albie but I'll give my impressions There isn't a freeplay mode, is there?
