I managed to do this mission without catapults. Not sure how, just forced my army to surround all their towers and destroy them

My guys wouldn't enter the last two towers for some reason :( so I brought catapults.

Yeah, I didn't need catapults for that mission. You do need swordsmen to occupy each tower so maybe that's why you guys were having trouble.

    1. Build up an army and attack all their towers
    2. Only towers once your army has killed all the enemy units inside
    3. Select them and send them over to enemy towers, just like soldiers they attack any enemy towers near where you send them.
    4. Cant. Once you attack their towers the enemy buildings inside the towers radius will blow up.

yea, took me like 4+ hours to finish mission 4, just take over all enemy's small towers (load your soliders), then you'll win.

I find it easier to split resources in building the town and military at the same time and send attacking units over constantly. At some point, the AI will cave due to the constant attacks. Seems to be able to win easily with this tactic all the time... Its kinda a big loophole but good game except that it had crashed a couple of times on me... Not uncommon for all these epic gameloft games

Same here. And it was fun the entire time.

I think it's kind of a cop out how some of the "campaigns" have only 3 missions each though.

In settlers 3 for pc, i can play a mode where i just have to play against the number of computers i choose, and the game only ends when all is eliminated. Is there such a mode in the iPhone version?

I'm finding this game quite difficult, for the simple reason that I never seem to have enough wood... (dirty joke not-intended)

I need some tips how to win 5 Roman campaign, there is not enough gold around base so one should better use rush tactic, however there is one problem, enemies have so many towers and somehow not all of them can be captured by infantry but catapults are fragile and expensive, so by the time i can manage to take out green player, vikings will have bigger army and win. Thanks in advance. It's also not very handy that catapults and soldiers can not be selected together. On small screen it's hard to manage fast and accurate.
And on 3gs the power drain is very high with this game.

Yeah, i finally figured out that catapults will only attack enemy towers. Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't attack enemy villagers/building. It seems that the enemy can attack my settlers but I can't attack theirs!
I was stuck on level 4 for a while since I couldn't get my catapult within range on the last enemy tower. Had to wait until the enemy lumberjacks cleared away a tree or 2! :(

1 tip I did notice was to get your pioneers to explore and start putting up boundaries so that the enemy can't build stuff in that area. I haven't figured out what/how to use the gardeners yet.

Attacking enemy settlers is great way of reducing enemy strength in other games I've played, without them, the colony will slowly dwindle as they can't gather enough resources.

ahh got it. what happend was that my regular swordsmen died, and i only had level 3 archers left. they can't killed the soldiers in the towers. so once i sent some swordsmen in there, i took over all the towers and completed the mission.

    thanks.

Yes me, I can't seem to understand why this game doesn't flow fluent. I seriously have to wait so long for something is finished. My toolsmith and weaponsmith for example are my 2 most frustrating buildings because they never seem to do what I want even when I have plenty of recourses (coal and iron wood stone gold etc) it still doesn't want to make something most of the time :S I have absolutly no idea why this is.. I have also plenty of food. Same with building my army.. Do I miss something I should know? please tell me because normally these kind of games are peanuts to me but this is a serious fking project!
