Thank you! Took the PXRAAT one, third from bottom. This game is really cool. How many levels are there? Is it possible to create a procedurally generated mode for replay ability once you complete all the levels or no? (Not sure how hard that is from a developer perspective)
No problem. The game is very good. I'll actually cover it next week because the game has to be out to be covered.
In android version I actually implemented a procedurally generated mode that was called "random node generator", but results of procedural generation weren't satisfying enough, so I removed that mode from the game. From the people's feedback it appeared to me that they tend to like a lot more hand-made levels
This game is really awesome. It's like a more accessible version of the Zachtronics games, which is definitely a complimentary comparison. The mechanics are introduced at a nice rate (not sure if I missed it somehow but only the first two items seemed to have a 'tutorial' or hint box, had to experiment to find out what they did), and they can definitely do some cool things. Puzzle design is pretty great, some nice solutions, and there seem to be a decent number of levels, hopefully they do get a bit harder in the end. Will be back with more imps later.
I hope you'd reconsider adding it back. It sounds like it would be fun, even though the puzzles are hard enough that it will be forever before I complete them all, it's nice to know a game is essentially endless and can be replayed, or if I get really stuck I could take a break and do a random puzzle...
Also, I read that GameZebo review. I disagree with what they said about the presentation. I'm a big minimalist fan. The look and sounds are perfect. I think it is very visually appealing and the music is nicely ambient while you're thinking and trying out sequences. Please do not "refine the design". That's why I am hoping you'll make a random generator, as I'd like to say this is one of the best puzzle games I've played In a long time.....
Gamezeebo definitely have a right to state their own opinion, but I, too, disagree. I assume that they may think that only big titles like Monument Valley deserve really good ratings.
