Apple pushing the devs for IOS 10.... It does not surprise me lol. You are the first dev who dares to say it in TA! For sure, I will buy Scrugeon as soon as it is playable with IOS 9 even if it is no longer on sale.
You are a gentleman and a scholar, friend. I'll do what I can. I think I can bust it out by the end of the week if it doesn't throw any red flags haha. We'll see! Thank you for your patience regardless -Chase
Anyone on the fence about buying this game, dont be. Get off the effin fence and buy this game. Once you stumble upon pukey vomiting jolly jacks dagger of tads ass and barfing, you will realize that a giant gaping hole in your life has just been filled.... Just do it. Plus, the dev is a top notch guy. Good peoples yall.
Nearly Unplayable So I have an iPhone 6 Plus and the game barely runs and at times just shutters to a halt. It is really disappointing and I am wondering if there is a reason or anything I can do about it.
Does anyone else with the iPhone 6 Plus have the same problem? About to purchase and just happened to see this.
Whoa!! I havent heard of this happening! Ahhh... Im curious if... now I dont want this to sound like an excuse or me blaming someone other than my admittedly hokey programming at times... but I wonder if this could be caused by the iOS 11 battery / processor throttling that Apple was being called out for. This is the first time Ive heard of Scrungeon being an issue for any modern iPhone. Its been tested throughout development on various devices all the way back to an iPhone 5C and it seemed to be just fine. Ever since iOS 11 hit the scene, however, theyve implemented that speed throttling for battery health and safety which can impact performance drammatically in some cases. Ill have to do further testing since I havent played the game on a 6 / 6S since iOS 11 hit the scene. I deeply apologize for your horrible experience with the game, definitely not my intention! If Apple refuses a refund to you, send me an email at [email protected] and I will help you in getting a full refund. -Chase
I was excited for this game as it was moving towards relsease, but somehow it slipped into my backlog when it finally came out. Duh! Been playing it now, and this is FUN. This is fun in a chaotic, silly, reckless, carefree, throwing-handfuls-of-firecrackers-into-a-campfire kind of way. To do list for today: Post 5-star review of this on the AppStore. Well done, Chase Holton. Keep it coming.
Ahhh thanks my dude!!! Haha handfuls of firecrackers into a campfire best analogy for an entirely randomly generated mess of a dungeon crawler ever! As for the burgers, the weight helps you push through body parts. Just a goofy little thing
Another possible item could be the amount of RAM for the iPhone 6 (plus). I believe the 6plus has 1 Gig of RAM. I think for the 6S plus the upped it to 2 Gigs?
Runs fine on iPhone 5s and iPad Air Just input on the "it runs slow on my 6s" thread. I'm really enjoying Scrungeon on my iPhone 5s. Some of the lettering in displays is really tiny, but the game performs well enough. No "stuttering to a halt" on the 5s... It also ran well on an original iPad Air I tried it on. (could read all the text on the ipad...) Thanks Chase for the fun game!
Oh!! Thats a major relief! And thats with the Schrism update? iOS 10? Curious for future troubleshooting. And thank YOU for delving into the horrifying Scrungeon Depths! <3
I know they're randomly generated levels, so there may be nothing to be done about this situation... But... After I destroyed the last nest on this floor, the stairs down to the next one wound up behind one of the darker walls. I tried to blow it up with a nearby bomb, but that (obviously) did not work... =P Not a big deal, since I just exited and continued with a new level layout. But I thought I should maybe mention it. =) Great game BTW. =D
Rassafrassin... dang it!! I thought Ive obliterated that bug!! Haha ugh. Im sorry... theres so many checks / parameters dedicated to making sure that never happens and somehow its been leaking through the void into the Scrungeon. Noted! Ill have to poke around some more. Thank you for reporting it and thankfully the reloading of the floor is an okay work around. But that will be super annoying if it happens more and more. -Chase
