Save progress hasnt been addressed just yet... but MFI controls are in full force! And the aspect ratio patch / update for iPads and the iPhone X should be out on the App Store today, probably mid day. Noon to 2 seems to be Apples schedule for over night reviews lol. Im just one guy so Im doing my damnest to address all needs across all platforms! I hope in the meantime you enjoy the game if you decide to grab a copy! - Chase
How my radars were right ! Was looking for it since the first announcement. Is that a premium game with no ads or dlc ?
Premium game with no in app purchases or DLC. There will be further content updates with more stuff but itll never cost more than the initial price! An update should be out today soooon (within the hour) to fix aspect ratio issues I accidentally created pre release. iPhone X and iPads look swell as hell now! - Chase
Is it the guys that fart out clouds? That stuff can linger lol. And slime goop is always a nasty surprise. Edit: this iOS update is taking forever to show up on the store!!! Ugh.
Okay! The update that fixes iPad and iPhone X aspect ratios is live! Enjoy!! Full steam ahead! -Chase
Got a chance to play it with MFi and with touch screen controls. Both work great but I am a fan on the handheld controller and always will be, and with this it plays really well. The gameplay is really fun. It's a frantic race to destroy all the nests (gauntlet-style) whilst looking at the upgrades that fall as quickly as possible. It's also nice that at the end of the level you can go look at gear that fell to double-check for any upgrades. The item names are hilarious lol. My current sword is a donkey dick sword of slaying. Other names of items are so long I can barely read them quick enough. Making fun of the diablo itemization I think I like the small persistent upgrades you can buy every couple of levels. I'm not very good at rogue-like / lite games so this helps a bit when starting a new run. One small (very small) issue I noticed is that when starting a stage with MFi controls, it will be unresponsive for about 2 seconds or so. Not a big deal but I thought I'd mention it. So far I highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun.
Thank you for picking up the game and enjoying it! It means a lot to get all of this feedback and see how everyone is enjoying the game and improvements to make the experience better. That controller bug is so bizarre, Ill have to check it out further, such a weird little hiccup. And as for more quality of life updates are concerned, you all should see an update sooner than later addressing the dreaded I left the game in the background and now I lost everything issue. I think Ive got a solution!! As I continue to update and respond to feedback throughout development, I want to be as transparent as possible so as many as possible can enjoy the game. Hang in there, Scrungeoneers! - Chase
I don't want to jinx myself, and I don't want to get TOO "promise-y", but things are looking good. I could have this update out by tomorrow / monday timeline if all goes according to plan... It's a unique spin on a way to save progress upon game closing, but I think it will work and make people happy. Stay tuned! I'll do whatever I can to keep you all in the loop!! -Chase EDIT: I don't know if I thanked you all yet, but your feedback has been invaluable to this entire process. You've pushed The Scrungeon Depths already in a much better and more polished direction and I thank you. Seriously. The last thing a developer wants is technical issues that should never have existed turn people away from what I consider to be a pretty damn fun mobile roguelike (admittedly biased). Your requests and critiques, concerns and feedback... none of it falls on deaf ears. If there is anything I can do to make The Scrungeon Depths, or any future titles or content whatever I work on better for everyone or even if it's just you. Maybe you want your name in the name generator. I don't care! Anything. Shoot me an Email. [email protected] Take care! Back to work!
I have been on the fence (considering massive backlog of quality titles and aforementioned progress bug), but developer Chase Holton's enthusiastic engagement of the gaming community is very encouraging to the thought that these issues will get ironed out # Due the numerous positive gameplay impressions, high level of dev presence and interaction, and mfi support waiving any virtual control woes I am making the leap and depressing the coveted Buy button for The Scrungeon depths!
You are all the true MVPs. This is what drives me to continue developing these experiences! And I know Ive said it, but I plan to add more and more crazy shenanigans once the quality of life stuff is set in place. Cheers!! I cant thank you enough! I hope you enjoy the unrelenting Scrungeon Depths!!
Pause / Resume feature update! Alright... It's time. I took the weekend and fixed bugs, added features.... Like resuming on app closure. It's done in a... Very... Scrungeon sort of way. I think it should please many, though. I know even during my testing it's saved my ass a few times (playing before bed, waking up to a no longer entirely lost run!) haha. The update should be live mid day Monday! I hope you all enjoy, and thank you ever so much for the constant feedback and suggestions. -Chase
