Started playing this a few days ago after seeing so many recommendations. I'm up to the final stage (I think), and I'm loving it. Never played a room escape type game with production values this high (and that didn't have Engrish text), so this is a really neat experience. Definitely recommended.
While I wait for next one are there any other games on the App Store similar to this one? Regards Dave
Wow, this is very brilliant. Had a go at this on my new iPad and had to finish it all in one go. Definitely something that looks and feels very right. Amazing job, kudos to the developers.
Awesome game ! So much details, great graphics ! The game really feels nice to play ! For people asking for similar games, I don't think there is any. But, there are a lot of great "point 'n click" games on iOS : Forever Lost, 1113 (3 episodes), Machinarium, Antrim Escape (3 episodes), Broken Sword (2 episodes), Lost City
I'm really enjoying this game too. Good stuff and well worth the sale price I paid, probably full price too.
Just finished the game yesterday night and it is really a great game ! The most beautiful game I've done so far on my iPad. Just a bit too easy at the end, but designing and balancing puzzles like these must be quite hard. And this is version 1.0 of the game. I found absolutely no bug or bad spelling. Great work !
I don't actually know if it would retain the same feel if it was moved to the smaller screen. It's just an... experience and with how tactile the puzzles are, I don't know if it would work. As an example, you can place a key into the keyhole and then use your finger to rotate it. I don't think that would feel good on the small screens.
I think it would work just fine on a smaller screen. You're zoomed in on things when you have to do actions like rotate keys etc, so I don't see why not. Can't wait for more of it though. Instabuy!
Yeah, I dunno. It may not be the best way to play it, but having it available wouldn't hurt, right? That's how I look at World of Goo on iOS anyways.
I just completed The Room yesterday in one go. Great game! But now I want more Any tips on similar games? The kind where you have to figure out how devices work...
Such a gorgeous, delightful, enjoyable game! Looking forward to the sequel. Thanks to all here who posted about it, as I'd missed it.
Wasn't interested in this game at all when it came out (didn't have an iPad either), but it was one of the first games I grabbed for my 4th gen. iPad last week after seeing how high it was on the charts and how well-reviewed it was by every site. Just blazed through it in one sitting with my gf. Didn't even take two hours, but it was one of the best experiences I've had on the iOS. Hope to see a sequel or DLCs in the near future.
There's an iPhone version available. It's called The Room Pocket. It's got an IAP to unlock the full game.
