Oh well. I'm still wondering if there are more than 53-54 quests and how to find the pyramid. Since the update I have gotten 4 new quests, but I also just won the main quest which may have unlocked one of them in which case only 3 are update quests. This "unmapped" island mentioned in the update text and the pyramid I haven't found yet anyhow.
Yep, I think there were about 53-54 quests in the main game (plus a few sub-quests) - check the full list at www.thequesthints.de (hint list/quest list section). In the 2.3 update we added 5 more quests, I think I wrote about these at this thread some months ago. As for the unmapped island and the pyramid, knock on the doors in the village of Phryn (mostly in its northern-western section) to meet a new NPC. He will start the quests for these maps.
Closing the gateway means what exactly then? I tought the "gateway" refers to the Pentagrams that take you to the other dimension???
Oh, I thought the Gravekeeper or whatever his name was was the new NPC. Hadn't seen him before. The quests I don't recognize in the questlist is burgle/rob/cursed wine and the last one. I'm guessing they are bad guy choices. That last one though... Some amulet quest? I'll try to find the pyramid today anyways. I've been crazy addicted to this game and Im definately not buying the expansions until some holiday I can afford wasting like 80 hours on one game.
It's been several weeks now since HOLII was submitted right? Also I just got the new Quest update to 4.0, I bet this means that HOLII is coming very very soon! Man I can't wait for HOLII to come out! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh hurry up apple.
I'm done with The Quest. 52+2 (unsolveable due to glitch and having sold the Dark Maul) quests will have to do. That Solnea's amulet quest name I don't recognize but it perhaps doesn't show in the quest list (that's why it's called a "sidequest"? Because I'm certain there are quests in the ingame questlist that you don't have to complete to finish the game, usually defining a sidequest though they are not marked as sidequests in the online questlist). It took 60 game days playing 16 hours per day (actually 14h but due to reading and standing still that number should be higher) + 9h30m. The last hours uncounted and counting 1 game minute/turn as 1 actual second that's 16 real life hours playtime. Probably some hours more counting time spent not spending game turns (reading etc). 16 gamehours x 60 days =960 game hours, 960 gh/60 t make it real life hours = 16 hours... But for a 40 hour game that feels very short, did I miscalculate somewhere? Since I bought it early this year I have barely played anything else and not bought anything new since I wanted to finish it. Read about someone else playing 18h straight some pages back. Curse = about to be broken, I'd someone can tell me where to get that amulet quest and if it's possible I've already done it. Edit: I've explored the ENTIRE map. Every single reachable square inlc. water squares, completed all quests and talked to everyone. That's why I think 16 hours playtime sounds short. I guess reading could add several hours, but playing card (always at least once) 1-4 times each night cancels one bit out and I don't think I've been reading for 40-16=24 hours real life time... Right? :s
Damn I killed them both already in one strike with my mighty purifier... that means i cannot get the redshift item any more and have to go back to an old save file?
Tried again from an old save file where the dragon king is still alive (does the undead king have to be alive as well?) using the unlock spell (that's the only thing i could think of to "unlock bones among trees") but still no success...
Well that's strange. Maybe you are not at the correct pile of bones. Can you describe where you are on the map.
Well it's the west wing where this pit is that you have to cross using the rope and right after that the corridor splits in three where the middle one leads to a room with a switch (that i can't operate any more for some reason) and the left and right lead to two elongated rooms with tombstones and one pile of bones next to a tree each. I tried both. And, I should mention that i used my strong unlock wand not an actual spell... does that make a difference?
You want different bones (highlight for spoiler): The ones you want are outside, south of the Dark Castle near a circle of trees. An unlock wand should be fine.
I cannot start The Quest anymore! I press the icon and the loading screen stays for about 10 seconds. After that the game crashes back to home page. I tried restarting my phone but that didn't work. I don't want to lose my save files, that's why I haven't tried reinstalling the game. Devs help me!
question about training points Got a question about game mechanics and how skill points are distributed. I can train things to 80-ish through vendors (in Luko I, haven't played II yet). I've been hoarding training books and not spending skill points from levels until I have my skills trained to the limits of the trainers. My question is: is this necessary? If I read all my books and use points, can I still train with training vendors as much as I would have without using the books? Or is it that when you reach 80 (in the case of Luko I trainers), no matter how (books/points/training) that's what you can train to and and it's final? For example, if I start the game with Alchemy at 10, I could train 70 points at a Luko trainer at that point (up to trainer's maximum 80). I can also use books and skill points to get to 80. If I use books and points, get to 80, can I still train 70 points at the trainer, or no because I'm already at 80? In that case, it would seem best to hold onto books and points to use past 80 for maximum effect. I'd love to use those books, but I'd rather keep them till after I exhaust the vendor training if that will help me maximize possible skill levels. If my question is unclear, please let me know and I'll try to explain better.
nah i get what ur saying. the best way to go is trainers first to max level (in this case 80). Then, you use books to get to max (and i think u can actually go over 100 with books). If u use books first, that will not change the level cap for trainers.
Sorry to hear about your problem. More than likely your autosave got corrupted somehow. The game should have detected that and should have gone to the main menu on the next try, however it seems that it doesn't work. I've now changed how the game starts up, so in version 4.1 you should be able to load one of your other saves and continue from there if nothing else works.
Well after i spent the entire afternoon pressing the icon, it worked. I have no idea what happened. First page of my save files was missing, but luckily my most recent save was on a last page. Oh and is level 20 enough to start playing HOL I?
Well, your description suggests the problem wasn't with The Quest... No matter, hopefully it'll work from now on. When we tested we concluded that level 22 is enough. Level 20 should be challenging but doable. Just keep a save in Mithria (or at least mark a spot), there is no way back by boat.
