Elendil reads this thread--I think he really improved the controls a great deal--I'm sure if there is room to tweak, he will. I had to get used to iphone controls after using palm.
Sorry, won't happen. I've had enough by implementing the alternate control mode (the popup directional buttons). Our next RPG for the iPhone will have the best control modes imaginable, I can promise that, but for The Quest I think it's just not worth the effort to try to come up with something 'better'. The default controls are very comfortable in portrait mode, all the others should be considered extras.
The controls are great and I play in landscape mode. Great to hear that you're doing another RPG for the iPhone. Will it be similar to the quest with first person view?
I totally understand. I was playing around with the controls and found that for landscape mode having the health and other stuff on the left and using the popup directional buttons is more than adequate.
It's much too early to tell. We are not even in the planning stage. We are working on two other, smaller games which we plan to release in this year. The RPG will come after that.
I'm still stuck with this quest. Any help would be appreciated. Also on the Kill the eyes for a holy man quest is there any other way to get to parents? Because at the entrance of each cave there are eyes and the only way to enter the cave is to kill them. But when I do that they say that I only made their master stronger
Madam, just kill them. I killed them all no problem. It's not like it makes their parent immortal (or maybe it does, but I killed it too fast xP). BTW, Redshift or Catacomber, I need help in the Mithria jail. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to escape from it Dx
In the extreme northwest of the jail is a teleporter. There is a secret switch to remove the wall that separates you from it. The gate you have to pass to reach the switch has a locked state of 40.
Woohoo i finally killed Glom and dont have much else to do but i do have some questions like where are the 7 caskets i have to find for Martellius and how am i meant to find the butten and cudgel for those two guys in the wolves den? Is there a secret wal or something? plz help
The casteks are in the high-level dungeons. (the ones with roman numerals on the signs in the entrences) plus Norbert has one. (although, the crypt in the giants thumb is bugged, but will be fixed any day now) Look for the sign in the wolves den that says "cave of concealing and revealing walls" and start tap tap tapping. ( they're close to that sign)
You can get to the Savir Armory if you have high enough level in Forest of Illusion. Here are the locations of the casteks: There is one castek in each high level dungeon: Norbert drops one. Crypt on ground Gates of Transport on ground Undersea Grotto on ground Maxim's Cellar: Mutant Goblin drops it. Savirian Headquarters: Shelf. War Planning Room, shelf. I hid one more but forget where.
Hello, I'm new to this forum but I recently got addicted to The Quest and can't stop playing and I've gotten a lot of hints and tips from this thread so thankyou. I've wanted to know if there is a way to store your items in The Quest, extra items and also is there a way in re-enchanting an item? Like modify the attributes on it after you've paid for it and confirmed it?
steven- When you complete the game the guy will give you ur own house, which can be used for item storage. But, there is no way to reenchant items so you gotta be careful about enchanting stuff.
What were the supplies u were supposed to deliver? I sold em and now i forgot. Also, the woman at the gates of transport told me to go to chudolsye forest west and look for erofiech. Im pretty sure he is the nameless spirit but he always says "wrong" if I click on any of the options, and if I say "none of these" he says "be more specific" where is the book of undead techniques?
I'm stuck yet again. There really should be more detailed quest list. I killed all the eyes for the holy man quest but cant find parents. Also I can't solve kill/exorcise the demkn quest. And finally on the quest to get the book for a librarian in vastares/magic shop owner in matras I killed all lost soules in sunken monastery. I can't open two blue doors and in the main room(the one with the carpet on the floor) there are like green curtains that block my way to the switch and different loot. If anyone knows how to solve any of these quest I would really appreciate it.
im stuck again too I'm in the next town of Vastares and I've dropped off thurms map piece, got the nobelmans inheritance quest and dropped the letter off to the girlfriend, and now I'm lost. How do I figure out the killer? what other quests are there in this town and how do I get them??
Ok I'll give you a little hint about noblemans inheritance quest. Go talk to the woman that lives opposite the castle, talk to the nogur warrior(ask about him in the inn in port quarter) and to the jeweler. Have your persuade level high(I had 26) before you talk to them because if you don't there will be some unwanted side-effects. And don't forget to collect the thurms treasure from his friend. You'll get some cool stuff if you choose to be honest and bring the money back to him. There are more quests in vastares area, I suggest you to check the quest list at www.thequesthints.de
