If only it worked that way! Noone knows for sure when it's going to be released(except for apples review team). We'll all just have to tough it out together.
As others have already said, unfortunatelly it's in Apple's hands. It has already been uploaded for 10 days already. So, hopefully it'll appear in the App Store very soon.
Hi, I am new to the forum so forgive me if my posting is off. I have played thru the quest and the fire and ice expansion and have a 28 level etherim. I recently updated to version2.3 with the new added quest maps and quests. I think I have played thru them all, but it doesn't add up to 8 new maps. I have played the sunken monastery, the mithril quest (nice armor) and the Ghula island and pyramid. Is this all because that doesn't seem to be 8 new maps. I have talked to all the shopkeepers in all the cities in Freymore with no luck. If there are others that anyone knows or if you know catacomber, please give a little hint. Thanks, SparrowHawk
Hi, Sparrowhawk, I see as of right now, you are the newest member to Touch Arcade--you can't have a post that is off if you have a good question--I think you have a good question but don't know what you mean by 8 new maps so I don't know how to help you. There is the base game, the Quest, there is the Fire and Ice expansion and there is the Update with the Ghula island and pyramid (which I have not had a chance to play yet!). Where did you get anything about 8 new maps? : ) I'm very happy to help you with respect to gameplay but am a little bit in the dark here about how I can help you. Please let me know exactly where you need help. We (Zarista Games) have worked with Redshift to port the HOLI quest expansion to iphone. We will work together to port HOLII, HOLIII, HOLIV and in development now HOLV and if we can----HOLVI (which we believe it or not have ideas for) and we have a few little other expansions that we can port too--but I don't know what you mean by 8 new maps? : ) If you need help, we're (both Redshift and Zarista) here as you can see, but need to know a little bit more.
Well, I'm sitting, checking, sitting, checking too because it's my baby so to speak, and as of right now, I am overdue. So we are all waiting. But there's no reason for Apple to keep from putting it up, so have confidence. I don't know how they decide the game is worthy but maybe while checking it out -- of the 30ish some odd quests--they got stuck on a quest they couldn't solve. And we will have to wait until they figure it out so they know it's not a dirty or undoable quest. : ) Like Santa Claus, they must have little gnomes working day and night. : ) Hope the gnomes are not on strike! And I do hope they do not read this forum as would like to keep my license. : )
By the way, so far in the Quest and its expansions, what is your favorite quest and why? What is your favorite spell and why? : )
I believe you are mistaken, the update provides 8 new quests, not maps. There is a new dungeon and the un-mapped island. Glad to see another hero! Welcome to the forums as well!
Intercept the transport.- I love killin' them dirty stinkin' thieves! Smite foe.- pretty color, fun name, gets the job done! (side note, this has me telling my cat I'll smite him, if he doesn't leave my toes alone while I sleep)
My cat doesn't bother me while I sleep--only when she knows I'm supposed to be playing with her not with any iphone/ipod touch game which she does not understand how it could be more interesting than her. So she smites my legs, arms, etc. while I'm awake until I subdue her with the SquirtWater spell. Works everytime! Of course I spend a lot of time on her quests enslaved to doing her bidding, but when her claws come out, SQUIRT!!!!! : )
Thanks Catacomber, I'll try to be more specific. On the redshift software webpage they have the announcement for this summers update to version 2.3 and it states there are 8 new maps, 3 underground dungeons etc. including Ghula island as you mentioned. I went back to Freymore from the FIRE and Ice map to play the new quests and have found the vastares book quest (sunken monastery), the new quest in phryn to ghula (treasure map) and the mitril armor quest in the silver peak caves. Based on the redshift announcement, there still should be a map and quest or two that I haven't found but I am only referring to this summer's quest basegame free update. If that is all of them, then I'll just hang out til the latest expansion is released.

Ahh, Ok...The pyramid counts as 4 maps. Now does the pyramid also count as an underground dungeon, because if it does, then that would be the third underground dungeon. If not, then I am missing an underground dungeon. I know, I know...details details, sorry if I'm being somewhat annoying, but I must say the game is addicting and I just didn't want to miss anything. Thanks for all the help. One thing. Catacomber posted last night a question about the favorite quest and why. I actually liked the several quests involving solving the murder in the abbey in FIRE & ICE. It was pretty engaging to go around questioning everyone trying to figure out "who done it". I also liked the pyramid, nice design and kind of tricky with all the transporters.
That's what I think about the maps. Also the only underground dungeon I found was the dark knight? Or something like that, don't know if that's old or new since I started over.
Thats interesting Falloutmike, I don't recall that one in the original game. And I do appear to only have 3 out of 4 quests. Where did you find the Dark Knight cause I'll check it out. SparrowHawk
Yah my first character I didn't find that, then started over and roamed around, I honestly don't remember exact spot. I think it was near the orc on the bridge, around that area. Its a hole that you have to fall down, and its next to a water spot. BRING a throwing weapon / bow with arrows.
I remember now, what you're talking about is the water caverns which are west of the Pagoda (orc on the bridge). This contains the tomb of the dark knight. This one I know and was with the original game. So, If anyone knows what the last quest of this summer's original quest 2.3 update might be if there are 4 as listed, let me know. Here's the quests I have solved. 1.The book of the rituals (sunken monastery) book dealer vastares 2. Treasure island also known as Ghula and the pyramid, quest from NW of Phryn to bring back armor or weapon 3. The Mithril quest into the extension of the silver peak mines to find Mithril, quest is in the blacksmith shop in Mithria, Nice armor if you can afford it. I would appreciate any suggestions.
