Not a beginner question Hi, I just found this forum. First, I'd like to say that I love this game. With all the references people are making to Daggerfell, I think I'm going to have to find a copy of that. (After I'm done with this.) That said, I'm stuck. Spoilers below. (If you aren't at least 12th level, don't keep reading.) I'm a 14th level Nogur, with only one quest active. The quest I'm on is the "Kill the Cyclops King in the Caves of Silver Peak". I have the Cyclops sword, but it doesn't do any damage to the king. I can hit it all day long. Plus, "Detect Mind" doesn't seem to work on it. Is this a bug? Or am I missing something? Also, how do you get to the alcove in the chasm? I've activated all four invisible platforms, but I still can't reach it. Other points that I'm stuck on: In the caves of Silver Peak, there are two doors I can't open: The one in the back of the shaman's cavern, and the one into the temple thing. I can't open the door in the "Crypt of Mithria", which I got to via the Witch Queen's domain. I can't figure out where to go to save the old man from prison after he kills the orc slaver. I'm fairly good, so I can't get into the Thieves Guild I haven't found the light weapon trainer or the attack magic trainer. I think I've found a trainer for everything else. I can't get into the palace. I don't know what to do with the Mysterious Man.
Welcome ams16! Welcome to the forum ams16! That's some list you have there. I'll do my best to help where I can. This quest is a pain in the rear! It got me too. I wasted sooo many potions and sooo much time trying to kill the Cyclops King Highlight for spoiler: The Cyclops sword is a fake! Go back to the farmers and tell them it isn't working. They will then send you to the witch. Tell her it isn't working and demand the real sword. Then go back and kill the Cyclops King with the real sword (what a mean and nasty trick to play on us all!! ) Well, there are actually 5 levers. Go back and check again, I'd say you have missed one! I never opened either of these doors yet I still successfully finished the game. I think it depends on your character's orientation (good or evil) and other choices you have made in the game as to if you can open these doors. As far as I know you don't need to open this door. You can reach the rest of the crypt by visiting the cemetery. Be well prepared before trying to rescue the old man. Highlight for spoiler: Make sure you have a powerful unlock spell or two or three. Then commit a crime and walk up to a guard. Choose to go to jail. That should be enough to get you going. If you need more help or another hint let me know. When the time is right you will learn how to contact the Thieves Guild. I played a character will good alignment and was still able to join at the correct place in the game. Sorry I can't help you there! When the time is right you will be able to enter the palace. You should do whatever feels right for the character you are playing. He is fairly suspicious and the best advice I can offer is just to respond as befits the character you are playing.
I'm on my iPhone and I'm having trouble doing the whole text colour change thingy so be warned spoiler ahead! Search in the water a short distance to the right of the Orc.
For shamans and casters I recommend getting some resist magic wands or potions. I personally use alchemy to craft some resist potions and keep a healthy amount on me at all times. Most classes in this game suffer a -% magic resistance which makes you very vulnerable to magic attacks.
Yea tried that maybe I néed more levels. Anyone know where the 3 skulls are?I think I found one the skull of blood Just found cemetary one.. At the port looking around and can't find it haha
Near the Silver Peak caves south of the Village of Phryn there is a group of farmers. Talk with them and they will give you the quest. You will know you are in the right area if you keep running into a LOT of witches and cyclops. There is also a stack of herbs in this area.
Yeah. I ended up enchanting nearly all my items so that they boosted my magic resistance levels. And I used the Magic Immunity spell a lot - even though it was a real pain to use. I've been replaying the game and the only place I seem to find the Resist Magic spell is when I kill the Witch Queen. Which is very annoying as it is a powerful spell and you have to battle a heap of shamans and witches before you reach that part of the game!
I can't be very specific because I've finished the quest and the farmers have gone for me now. And I'm not up to that part in my current replay of the game with a different class character. So generally it is maybe slightly southwest of the caves near to the edge of the Western Silver Glades. You will know it when you see it. The farmers are not hard to see in the daytime (they will not be there at night). They are just standing in a group in a clearing with a lot of herbs/flowers. I remember it being almost due north of the witches hut in the Silver Forest - Western Region section of the map.
If you've already been given the quest from the mage at the Pit of Blood...head to the port quarter. The pawn broker should be in the massive wooden building, on the side that faces the town, in the door on the furthest right end.
Thanks dude. And one more question: what is the requirement for the ghost sailer to get you to the northeast island?
I'll be honest and admit that I can't really remember! I flew through that part of the game as I was on a roll and very keen to keep playing! You don't sail to that island until near the very, very end of the game. I think maybe the Mysterious Man told me to take get the ghost sailer to take me to the island but I could be wrong. This would have been after I'd completed all the tasks he had for me. Hopefully someone else here has a better memory than me and will be able to help you out.
evil eyes i was attempting to do the evil eyes quest for the holy man in the cave at monastery of vastares but i got bombarded with fireballs so i had to run off (no resist magic spell yet and not enough potions) any hints how to best approach this quest? how can i tell which eyes are the parents? will i get the fireball spell there after all? thanks!
