They probably wouldn't be able to put much of content in it or any outside sections. But yes, I'd have liked if the makers of RealMaze 3D made it into a dungeon crawl with monsters, traps, secret doors, etc. Now a question about the Barren Peaks Cave - is it possible to somehow activate the passages that "are too narrow for you"? I tried to hack at them and throw some magic - no dice. And are there any secrets in the cave apart from having to use the rope at one point? TIA.
hey new here Heyy I'm new here. Love this game just got it. I'm a lvl 3 thief and to be honest I have no clue what I'm doing. I've done a few quests so far, village sickness, kidnapped wife, and agent recruiter one. Now I'm just lost and if I leave the Orc follows me until I'm dead. Any help is great and ty!
Orcs are pretty tough at first, but level up a bit, get some decent armor and a good weapon and you'll be able to kill them. I had to remake a few characters before being able to take them down also. One thing I found invaluable is the alchemy skill for making health and mana potions.
Ty for the heads up. Will the armor/weapons change as you level in the start town? Also I have the robbers bow right now
There seems to be a bit of variety from the merchants from one day to the next (this is pure observation - I may be wrong here) but otherwise if you want more powerful weapons/armor you'll have to go to another town. Once you reach level 6-7 you should be able to go to the next town. Other misc. tips I can offer: - Buy the mark / recall books as soon as possible and start using them. You don't even need to be specialized in this school of magic or have a high spell points (mana) rating to use them. What these set of spells allows you to do is save several teleport points (anywhere!) and them go back to them anytime. I have 5 different places I can instantly teleport to! So say for example you're in a dungeon and either are hurt badly and need potions, or you're full of equip and need to sell, you can mark your current spot, teleport to town, and then teleport right back where you were! - Alchemy: Even if you don't it as one of your primary skills, you can level it up via trainers and books. If you don't want to collect herbs (free but time consuming) you can usually buy them fairly cheap from vendors in towns. You can make several cure posion, mana and health restore potions fairly easily and they are lightweight and extremely useful to have. - Rest and save: Remember if you have water / food you can rest outside of town as long as there are no monsters in the vicinity. This is the cheapest way to recharge your mana/HP. Always do this before entering a dungeon and be sure to take advantage of the many save slots that are provided! - Repair: Repair equipment often! Your weapon's damage output will be severely affected if you let its condition get low, so always carry a few repair hammers (if you're invested in this skill) otherwise visit a smith often and keep your gear in top shape. - Skill books: An excellent investment if you have lots of gold and nothing to buy with it. Visit a library and buy them all up, read them and resell them right after! Hope this helps. This is a fantastic game, I'm hooked!
Wow great info thank you! I'm lvl 7 now and have some decent gear. I wool those orca now! Also been making health potions as well. I can't put this game down hehe. Just got the sword from the one quest giver for finding his treasure. Gotta find another quest now haha!! Thanks for the tips!!
Also I go the skeleton keys but it doesn't give me he option to break in. I loved oblivion so I kinda get this but some things I don't
If you purchased the skeleton keys from the Master Thief in Vastares, you should be able to rob some of the houses at night. Simply wait for night fall, and roam the streets tapping on each door. For some houses you'll receive the prompt "Do you wish to rob this house?" Click "yes". Alternately, you can wait until evening and simply touch any unlighted windows in order to break in. Bonus tip: there are several characters in the game who are willing to clear your crime record...for a price
No offense to fans of this game but this is all I gotta say: The Quest sucks. Dungeon&Hero kicks this into the water and drowns it in a pool of mud, goo, and slime. Yup that's pretty much all I have to say
Dungeon & Hero is good for mind numbingly easy action-rpg kind of gameplay; go here, kill X amount of this, bring X item back, etc. It was great at first but after a few hours I got bored. I need constant challenge to remain interested. The quest on the other hand, is more of your turn-based M&M / Daggerfall style of RPG. I find it refreshingly deep and challenging. It's more of a traditional RPG with a lot of meat to it. For a portable platform, it doesn't get more deep than this. It was a little tough to get into at first, but now I can't seem to put it down. Not the same kind of game, at all, and while I like both, I think The Quest is a far better and deeper game. But then again it's all a matter of opinion, isn't it
This comparison is such a mismatch that it's embarrassing. Dungeon and hero is worse than most flash rpg games. The quest is a genuinely interesting game, which has generated continuous interest since it's release.
No offense but your comment lacks credibility if you fail to give specific reasons why you disliked the game. Merely stating that something "sucks" is neither a helpful review or a well reasoned opinion. In what specific ways did "The Quest" disappoint you or fail to deliver? Also, your casual dismissal of the game is terribly unfair to one its creators, Sylon, who has not only been active on this forum but tireless in providing updates.
I asked Redshift what their future plans are for the iphone / ipod touch platform and thought I'd share their answer: Yes, we are planning to release an all new RPG sometime in the future. Our current plans are as follows: - Quest expansion (within a month, if Apple doesn't nitpick - Dungeoned, a fun action game, already released on the Pocket PC platform - a fantasy card game with RPG elements, loosely based on the card game in the Quest - the all new RPG We would like to release the card game sometime in the summer and after that we will work full time on the new rpg. Of course that will take a lot of time, so I cannot even begin to guess when will we finish. Those are the plans, at least. We might also create a new expansion for the Quest, parallel with the other projects (if we do it, it will be done by someone who isn't otherwise involved, so it will not take time away from the other games . I knew people would jump on my comment like crazy. Sorry guys, didn't mean to kill your thunder here. And yes I am a man/he/boy/male/masculine creature. And I though it was disappointing (ONLY TRIED THE LITE VERSION) because of the controls and the movements weren't really fluid. Felt like I was walking on a graph and the movements were all sharp right, sharp left, straight, back. That type of stuff. Good news to you guys though, they're coming out with a Quest expansion pack Island of Ice and Fire something around those lines. It's gonna cost another 3.99 USD for you folks
HELP----- my ipotch crashed when saving a game of Galaxy on Fire ---when I reconnected to itunes it reloaded everything all ass backwards so I had to reinstall the quest. But it erased my game saves--- I dumped 40 hours+ into this ---arg ---- is there anyway to get the saves back? Any reponse will be welcomed with open arms ---- in a non-creepy thankful way.
Not Fluid? You do know that Dungeon & Hero is garbage on frame rate and controls. I have never EVER felt so depressed about a purchase in my life! I wanted to love it but it's so bad.... no really... I'm not trying to be a jerk, but do you enjoy playing in garbage? At least The Quest is actually playable. Sorry I didn't mean to rant.
