what do you guys find to be the best use of money in the game? should i spend it all making a tricked out weapon or armor or something, or should i pay skill trainers, or something different? Thanks

money in The Quest and a question

    Hi,

Try gambling in the bars/inns. Money will NOT be an issue after this. Then as u said, spend it on tricked out armor and training, and books.

I have a question, on the Sunken Island i could not climb down the hole as it was magically protected. I spoke to Wawirr in a cabin and i had to ultimately loose 2 personality points to enter. Is ther another way? Can someone help me?

I love this game, please see my review at the app store. Thanks again devs. :D

hey guys! i was just wondering what the drain health enchantment does? Does that mean for every damage i do with that weapon, i get that health back? Say i do 40 damage, my health is then restored by 40?

Man, I am absolutely loving this game. I've had it for ages but I didn't want to start playing it until I'm done with Puzzle Quest, and I'm having just as much fun (or more) with this game. Awesome to see some fully functional, deep, well polished and engaging RPGs for this platform. Congratulations, Redshift!

    Nobleman's Inheritance

I've been stuck at the Nobleman's Inheritance quest for a LONG time. I've searched here and other websites, and it seems that a persuade skill level of 26 should be sufficient for this quest. However, even though I have a persuade level of 30, whenever I ask the jeweler Elitia about the murder she would just say, "No, nothing important...." I've also talked to both the governor's daughter and the innkeeper before talking to the jeweler. Can somebody please let me know what I've missed? What else do I need to do to get the jeweler say something different? I really can't wait to get past this quest and enjoy the rest of the game!

    Thanks a lot! :)

i think you need to talk to the sketchy workmen guy. Hes near the inn somwhere in a door. You have to visit him at night.

    Hey Guys...one important question:

Until now I didn't update my iPhone Software to 2.2.1...some games need this so I'm thinking about it right now...
BUT: will my save games remain if I backup my iPhone after updating!?

captain60s: yes, there is another way at the keeper of the Sunken Island - if you have enough money... : )

Flip: I think someone else had this question too here a few weeks ago and I replied that yes, the saved games will remain, if you made a backup.
Here is a little thread about this too:

    Update

    Sylon,

I just downloaded the update...you sneaky bugger! I can't believe there is no mention of it yet on this thread!

The additions make this amazing game EVEN BETTER. It is incredible. For those that don't have it yet, the update adds 3 huge things which greatly enhance my enjoyment of the game. First is the option to speed up gameplay. I didn't really agree when others said it was too slow before, but it is much better this way. I love it for when you have to go across open expanses in a hurry!

Also, there are now 20 save spots - much better for my obsessive saving before doing anything - and you can now choose which deck you want to be when playing the card game (or leave it random). Since I have been playing alot of cards to stock up in Mithria, this is great - gotta love the necromancer's double-up punch for 30 hp!

Thank you so much for continuing to support and improve such a great game, Sylon! It is great that you guys continue to listen to your fans. I am very excited about the future of Redshift on iPhone. Speaking of which, any word on if/when we are getting expansions? Legacy?

Hey troutdog, I already wrote the new version's features here when it came out - check page 48 of this thread please. : )

The expansion will come at the end of this month.
I have no other news now - except that The Quest 1.4 will be out soon too, which will include the 'ingame chat' function, so hang on!

Thank you so much APPyhourreviews! This was exactly what I had missed! Now I'm struggling to find the hollow tree before being slaughtered by those dwarves and shamans.

Thank You for game and Sunken Island advice

    Hi Sylon,

Thank you for your time and this great game. I had $10,000 with 43 persuade (thanks to my persuade suit) and He wouldn't take it. Of course my personality was only 10 now 8.

I could go back to a save, but i just couldn't put the game down
(drat its sooo good) and have done too much since then. Still i'd like to know how much money is really needed.

    Thanks again

Huh, probably I didn't remember it correctly, sorry... I know there should appear a new option in the dialogue if you have 10.000 gold but probably he would answer the same too - of course just if you are not undead. If you are undead, things are going much-much easier with him. : )

I've got a question for you that while I'm pretty sure it has already been asked in the past, I don't feel like searching through 61 pages only to find out that there was no answer ^^'

When the main quest ends, does the game end as well with a highscore and "bravo" or something like that - or may I continue to roam the lands for as long as I like?

I doubt it'll end but I just wanna make sure it doesn't :)

There's a definite end to the main quest, and the outcome is determined by the choices you make. There's no "high score" per se but you'll pick up some fabulous swag in the way of parting gifts (without a doubt some of the best items within the game). These objects will come in handy when the expansion is released later this month.

However, after "the main event" you're free to roam around the realm to your heart's content. In fact, I highly recommend doing so as the second time I played the game I found many quests, side missions, objects, etc. that I somehow had managed to miss the first time around.

Imagine if the Quest had realtime graphics and movement control scheme like this:

Coupled with the RPG aspect then I could get into it for sure!
