This game rocks - the more I play it the better it gets. I have settled on a slightly modified battlemage and am enjoying it. Question - I am in this thief's hideout (the one with the neceomancer in it) and there is a storeroom (for which the guy outside gave me the key) and then there is the advanced storeroom which has a three swich puzzle in it. I swear I have tried every combo with these swiches but can't get the panel to open - how do you do it?
ok...this game is great but i dont know how to get into the theives guild, so any help would be aprreciated . Also, i see alot of cracks on the ground and on the sides of buildings. Do these have any significance? Like can you dig stuff up and break into houses? Thanks
im stuck on that switches part, too. I finished the quest with the necromancer though, its epic. 1500 gold + 3 books that give you skills. I'm also stuck on the amazon quest. The amazons in the cave are friendly to me so i cant kill them and finish the quest. "Thurm's Quest protecting the animals" Second to last, I have no idea where the pagoda is so i can kill the orc. Quest: "Orc at the Bridge" and lastly, what do I need to get the guy out of the imprisonment in the amazon cave? It's for the quest like "Nadia's Potion" Thanks guys. Btw, this game is awesome. I love the old-school graphics and in landscape mode ive gotten used to the controls enough that i have no problem whatsoever moving around. The turn-based fight system is great! - Llama
My first playthrough I accidently found the pagoda at level one, needless to say I got reamed. I'm trying to find it again but I think it is NW of the first town. Amazon quest and rescuing the guy, a few options - unlock the door to the left if you can cast unlock or pick it, or talk to the chief amazon in the back for a couple options (talking to her will give you a couple options - I chose to sex her up and then come back and slaughter them). Anyone know about those switches??
Yeah, just touch your mini-map to open a full screen map. Touch on the icon above the 'X' to bring up the world map, then just touch an area with your finger and it will tell you it's area name.
There is a free Lite version out yesterday. Downloaded but not tried yet. This one reminds me a lot of Ultima Underworld and ES:Arena. It sit on my longish snipe list for quite some time.
funny to hear another person say ultima underworld and es arena as those two are what first I thought of when playing. underworld remains for me top ever of dungeon crawlers but quest is not a dungeon crawler - it is an everything rpg. I don't usually give out perfect marks for reviews but I did for quest
Amazon Cave: You have to speak to the Amazon Queen. She'll give you a...well special "offer". If you accept it you'll have your fun and then be taken out of the cave. If you return you can fight them cause they won't be friendly anymore. In this cave you'll find a key to open the prison in which you can find nadia's father. The Pagoda can be found in the south. Just use your map. Greetz, Flip
Well, as to The Queen, if you accept her offer there are nice side-benefits, but the fight is harder. If you reject her offer, then the fight is easier. And I found something really cool in the Dungeon of Blood, for folks who explore carefully and have a coil of rope in their baggage. As we all know you should never go on adventure without rope . Re: the Thieves Guild, when you complete Thurm's quest to kill the Amazons, he'll give you an introduction.
Question. How exactly do you use the rope for item finding purposes. I have no idea what the rope is for so I would really like to find out so i can go back and get some goodies!
Well, you can buy a coil of rope from the "craftsman" in Matras or find it as loot. You don't actively use it. When you reach an obstacle that can be bi-passed with rope, a chasm, say, you'll get a text window: "attach rope? y/n" and after you attach it, you can tap on it and cross the chasm . Really cool, I always wanted to see it in a RPG. And another thing, folks - when in caves/dungeons, look for secret passages! I too have a question, BTW - the game seems to suggest that I can poison weapons. But how do I go about it? I brew poison, but the only thing I am able to do with it, is to drink it...
Isilel: huh, I'm not sure about it - during the development the game had a lot of planned but never finished/realized features (including spells, items, etc.), most of them were removed because various reasons before the release, I think this is one of them. The possibility of 'poisoning something' remained in the game because we thought about future expansions where somebody can use that - even some outsiders who have the editor and want to make their own expansions with some new functions. Of course you can enchant a weapon with the poison effect, if that's what you mean but to make a poison potion and put it in a weapon - well, it's not possible currently. Probably somebody made it with the help of the game's scripting engine in an expansion, but after a while I got lost among the expansions so I cannot tell it for sure...
Could use some help on the "Nobleman's Inheritance"-quest. I talked to the Nogur in the harbour area. And after that to the woman in the jewelry-store...but now I'm stuck... Any hints!?
i think you have to get your persuade higher and take to the jewler. She then tells you she did it and you gotta find the chest i think. I need help finding the monastery near vastares. Im trying to exorcise the demon.
