You shouldn't need a healer, just a recipe to make your own. Let's see what I have here:

Green fungi and Seeds of Heaven (1 each) cure waart

I will look through and see what other combinations also work. If you don't yet have a mortar/pestle, find an alchemist and try and get the potion there. Where (what town) are you?

    Finished...now a question or two

Great game, first off. I have no idea how many hours I got out of it, but it was a lot.

When I went, at the end, to the Undead King, I had no chance to "converse" with him...he just said I was dead, lol, and when I clicked goodbye, I got a little box (the ones that pop up, on a scroll) that said, "script error!" Not sure if that was a bug. I get the impression that he and were supposed to chit chat a bit, as is the case with other encounters, and I thought the script error notice was a little odd.

I noticed on the PDAground forum mention of a "secret item" when done. When I finished (and I'll try not to give anything away), I went both routes (choices). In neither did I get any idea of a hidden item. When I closed the gateway, I was told I got something special, but can't figure out what it was.

Finally, I see from the other forums that there were expansion packs...how cool would that be if those could make it to the iphone! I wonder if there's any chance of that happening, since it would be well worth the money. I don't think I've gotten so much play time out of any game (on the Mac, PC, or console) in a long time!

    Activating Holy Man quest?

I've returned to playing The Quest, after a few days, but now I'm stuck at the Holy Man quest. I've exorcised the demon from Sister Elfwin, and finished up the miscellaneous business involved with that, but I just can't seem to activate the Holy Man quest--at least not by talking to Mr. Holy Man directly. Any help for a fellow player stuck in neutral? Thanks.

You need a high enough skill. He won't give you the quest until maybe mind magic was high enough, 35, maybe? I think it was mind magic. one thing you really should have before going in is the paralyze spell (I got a lot of use from the wild paralyze wand). Without that, it'll be really tough going in there. you can check on what skill you need on the pdaground site but I'm more positive it's mind magic the more I think about it. what's your level for that?

just got this game and its great, but i was wondering if there's a level cap and a quest guide online? If there's not, does anyone know how high your persuasion has to be to solve the boy in the brown clothes quest at the beginning of the game?

    Krazzyfingerzz,

Thanks for the quick reply! My Mind Magic is a pathetic 19, are you sure it's Mind Magic and not Persuade? My persuade is 30, which is still not enough. I think I have paralysis spell. At least, under that eye icon, there is a "Paralyze" option.

I checked on the pdaground forum and it's definitely mind magic that you need to increase. I spent most of my points and money getting my magic skills up and that paid off, btw. I should mention that your mind magic skills are somewhat based on personality, so if your personality skill is too low, you can't upgrade mind magic any further. I'm capped right now at 50 for mind magic because my personality is only at 25.

After many gameplay hours and 71 in-game days I just finished The Quest and completed all of the quests listed on the hint website (some failed though). I cannot find the secret Sylon treasure either but as a reward for saving the world I did receive my own two-story house in the town of Mithria as well as the Ultimate Rapier (with 45 damage, +10 Strength, +50 HP, and poisons opponents) and the Thorwalian shield (with AC 14 and +5 Block). NOTE: to avoid spoiling one of the surprises for finishing the game the text to the left/above is hidden--simply highlight with your mouse if you want to see it.

Question for devs or anyone that played the expansion on another platform: Do I "need" the secret treasure? I mean the game is basically over with the exception of roaming around and killing re-spawned monsters, etc. Does the coming expansion allow us to use our current character and equipment or do we start fresh?

I did find it. You don't need it, but you can only find it (the Redshift item) before you talk to the Gatekeeper for the last time. Do you have a save file from before that, and do you want a hint?

    Hi Krazyfingerzz,

Just a matter of curiosity, where did you you find that answer in pdaground? I only see 6 pages of threads there and the only Holy Man thread was already talking about how to beat the eyes? Thanks.
