You should start around Matras and do the quests around Matras and then---if you want to weave in and out of Chess Set you can. You move to Chess Set by visiting Captain Verra in the port of Matras.
just don't be a mage, or if you are don't learn alchemy, or if you do, never use the mark spell, or if you do, restart the game, and you won't have to be too worried about it being easy.
i really hope my new ipod gets here soon. i've been itching to play this game again. im starting new so i can do the chess set stuff and rebuild my character. im going rasvim.
Any chance to be able to transfer saved files via bluetooth? I'm getting a new iPod very soon, so if I have to start over AGAIN (I accidedentaly deleted my file once) I will probably not begin again unless there is a new low lvl expansion.
You can save and restore your files using "File Sharing" in iTunes (requires iOS 4 and iTunes 9 or any newer). (I don't know if iTunes can use a bluetooth connection or not, but it shouldn't be necessary anyway.)
We are planning a new lowish level expansion that will have quite a few surprises. : ) Not telling. : ) But it will be about level 15. Others will be high level but have figured out that there are still unmined possibilities with the editor and mining. : )
hello hello, stuck on the Thief's lair quest, got the invite and mission to break-in and steal the family jewels, went around to all the houses in the city center and stole quite a few items, but it looks like I did not get to the proper house with the family jewels, tried it the night I was sent there, any suggestions/walkthroughs? thanks
Ah, that's quite useful. Thanks! Enjoying the game thus far. I had a character from when I bought the game, but started a new one to get more acquainted with the game. I'm playing a Priest simply because I imagine it'll be useful to be able to heal myself...
I tried to help you but it's so long ago since I did know the answer (2 years), right now I don't remember. You could write [email protected]. I just can't find the right house and I've tapped everyone in the editor I can and mouse hand is very sore. I can help with multifarious things in the base game but this one escapes my memory. BTW, I don't think we actually will be making anymore low level games - from the emails I've gotten people only want the high level games, so that is the way we will go for future expansions.
new to this game. i have a question for people who have played it more: starting out, it seems like it's kind of unbalanced - i have to run back to a village after facing maybe just two opponents, to sell some stuff, buy potions, get water, etc. otherwise, it's just too risky wandering around. just wondering if it evens out a bit as you play, or should i have picked a different class? (I'm playing undead.) right now, it seems a little unfair, at least to this beginner.
(hope I'm posting this in the right place) The house you need to break into for the Thieves is in Mithria. It's the one in the south of the city center where the Mayor and Governor's houses are. The front door should be unlocked when you get there.
Thanks, Michele, I was thinking it was in Vastares, found it in Mithria! Now, 2 other questions, please, I read somewhere that the wand of recharge could be used to recharge itself, however, that is not happening for my wand, it seems as thought it can only be recharged by a shopkeeper, is that true? Also, when I went to the thief's lair with the stolen items, the head thief said to come back later for another mission, each time I came back, nothing new, am I to kill them all at the lair to get the items for the mysterious man?
Don't just run around and kill stuff. This isn't your typical RPG. The first thing you need to do is get comfortable with the town layout and talk to the people. You then get quests that steer you in the right direction for your level. It's certainly a difficult RPG, but once you get into the rhythm of things... you'll be hooked!
It used to be that you could keep recharging a wand of recharge with itself. They ended up changing it in an update. Now you have to go to a shop to recharge them. You can dispose of the thieves- you never get another quest.
OK, stuck at two quests, the outcast will not give me a quest, and the thief's guild I killed them all and got a key from the leader, but have not found a door that it will open, help!
