Don't sell them. Use them to make your own potions. You can drink those to save money or sell them for a huge profit. 3 flowers cost roughly 20 gold while you can sell the potion they make for much more. Especially the higher you can get your alchemy skill.
You can break into houses? How exactly? I noticed some old enemies seem to come back after some time, having traveled further into the island and back. But by then you're higher level, for me anyway. Resist Magic potions can be a big help. Also wtf is with Small Resist Magic potions? They seem to work better than the Resist magic/Ultimate resist magic ones! You can make money by selling stuff you don't need, including books you've read, items you can't use. You can find gold from enemies, Dwarfs seem to have a lot. There's also gambling with the Inn-keeper card game. Oh yeah, and by doing quests of course. Enchanting is a bit pricy, go to a mage shop, they have a scroll as their shop sign. Also at some point you can find wands and spells to enchant.
I've been doing that for awhile now and nothing is happening. Do I need to have increased fame or less fame or something? Right now my character's fame level is immoral.
To join the Theives Guild apparently you have to get further into the game than Vastares. More specifically, the other side of the island to a place called the Skryven Keep - The Tower (of the Mysterious Man). He will ask you to do a few missions in regard to the Governer, and eventually you'll get to join the Theives Guild. By this time I think you should be of decent level (Lv 13+), since you have to do a lot of running around and fighting blood skeletons and things. I'm not sure I may have forgotten what the relevance of the Inn-keeper conversation is.
Nope. You'll join regardless of fame. Just do the ones you find for now, and you'll eventually be asked to join the guild. It'll be awhile after you leave vasteres, before you're even offered the chance though.
Is there any place where you can sell jewelery because I have a lot and no one I have come across buys it.
Does anyone know how much gameplay the lite version provides? Also, is the lite version enough gameplay for someone to determine if they would enjoy this game? I've wanted to give this a try, but I'm not sure how much I'd like it. Non linear RPG's are hit and miss with me, especially if there is no sense of direction or order at all. Still, the rave reviews I've heard for six months have me curious.
Definitely play the lite; I warn you though... the game has a STEEP learning curve. Word of advice: "Don't give up too quickly!" Even force yourself to play, because I promise you that you'll the get the hang of it and completely fall in love with the vast world of The Quest. here are some beginner tips: -Use the map! There are two types of maps:A map that lays out the area you are in, and a map that shows the whole world, and the different areas. -Knock on doors; talk to people. The way to get a good sense of direction is to talk to people, find out whats going on where you are and see how you can come into play. -Last but not least, don't be shy to post your questions on this forum, or even the guide section within the app! There is a strong community with a lot of helpful people. I hope you enjoy the game!
We are thinking about making a new series that would be set in a Barbary Coast type world and start you out at a low level again--starting from Matras--so you would not have to play the Quest again to start--Sylon and Elendil agree it would be a good idea to have a new series start at a low level. You would have to develop a new character and then follow the series through to a higher level. What do you all think about that? It has its advantages as at the higher levels, repair is difficult sometimes, fighting with magic is difficult unless we specially code the monsters and responsiveness of the engine is a little bit slower at the higher levels. Of course you could play the expansion(s) with your high power character but would be a bit godlike. Yet we hope that even then the story and gameplay would make you happy. What do you think? : )
