Are you playing the base game, lacedolphin? Just ask and I'm sure someone will help? If you're playing the base game, talk to the mayor of Matras--he'll give you a quest, then talk to the innkeeper, he'll do something to enable you to carry out the quest in the cemetery--should be a hole now with a ladder. If you are having trouble with the monsters, kill a few skeletons, archers and bats to level up. Start with that quest so you can get stronger. There are a few things I may have forgotten about the Quest but not much. : ) But I'm on vacation until tomorrow night so won't be around in the daytime tomorrow.
If you're playing Hero of Lukomorye, standalone version, for Baba Manya's quest, you have to go into the cave and find a place where you can drop down. If you're not strong enough to fight the Fear Bats, pick up every item you can on the island, pick up every potion. The game allows you to mark a spot and go back via the recall spell which if you're playing the standalone game you have. You can also enchant your gear to increase your ac, your endurance, your fortify melee power etc. At Redshift's website www.redshift.hu is a manual on the Quest. If you have not downloaded or read it you should. It has a lot of useful information. Especially for someone playing the standalone games. It's a must. If a monster is tough, use a bow and arrow and try to take it out from a distance. You save a lot of potions that way. I'm on a minivacation during the day tomorrow will be back at night. But I'm here right now. : )
3.0? So, I see The Quest version 3.0 in the app store, but it appears unlinked to version 2.x... Am I going to have to purchase the base game again to use characters across all games ? And if so, is it even possible to use the 2.x characters in 3.0? Crossing my fingers that this is just another apple mishap .
I don't quite understand what you are trying to say, but you don't have to purchase The Quest again. After you purchase a program on the app store, every update is a free download. So in case of The Quest just update your game and you can continue playing with your existing character(s).
thanks cat! hope your enjoying your vacation! I finally got the main quest solved for now, i'm trying to find the boy, kidnapped wife and mirror right now. Know what time I finally went to bed? 7am! lol I went ahead and got the main game until I work up to needing the expansions. Very addicting for sure!
For the mirror, you have to get your feet wet in that cave. Wife is in robber forest but you should have some mushrum on you when you talk to her, she's taken to The Bottle. : ( Onin the Fisher Boy is in the Abandoned Swamp but you might like to have persuade of at least 20 before you talk to him. To anyone reading who wonders what these quests are if they're playing the Standalone Hero of Lukomorye---these are from the base game of the Quest. There is a thread for the Quest base game. But I don't mind at all if you ask here. I watch both threads and don't really care where you post. : ) I'm glad you decided to try the base game, it's really wonderful.
Well, ultimately, I have Quest version 2.3 installed. There is no app store update available for me at the moment. However, I do see Quest 3.0 in the app store, and it has the little "buy" button next to it (as opposed to the usual "installed" button that is grayed out)
If you are at the same account as you bought game from, just click on buy button and it will tell you that you already bought that item and you can redownload it for free

I need help with Argimon's dungeon. I have searched the entire dungeon available to me and cant find any keys to open the locked doors or Norbert. Could anybody tell me where to find norbert or any keys, or how the switches work?
The switches have to be thrown in a sequence. I am sending you a pm. Norbert is behind a locked door.
Argimon's dungeon: Finding keys and throwing switches: Most of the switches have to be thrown in a certain order. There are walls that are false walls and if you tap them they disappear. Argimon wanted his dungeon to be a challenge so there are not that many hints. You have to wear out your weapon tapping. If you are desperate, Argimon put up a walkthrough for the keys at my website in HOLI thread that shows their location but that is a complete spoiler. It's more fun to take Arg's dungeon slow and explore imho.
Is there anyway to get into the big door in Zlatograd-the Royal Treasury? I would like to see what's inside. Could I win the lottery of gold? I don't have any method of opening this door?
You have to knock on a door in the north of Zlatograd. He's in House of Agrafena. You need persuade greater than 60 to get a result.
I love how you just answer questions, this game can be frustrating (but FUN!) and it helps to relieve the frustration! Maybe an official walkthrough would be helpful...
It wasn't saying that I had already purchased the game, ( presumably because it was showing up as it's own entity in the app store) but no matter -- now the update shows up for me in the store, so it resolved itself
