Hopefully Apple will have the Quest update up soon so you can use your own save file. Right now only the standalone is up. I'm sorry about that but have no control over how the releases go. Am just happy to see this up. Thanks for the thread, ImNoSuperMan! I'm a Nogur because I love to bash. : ) But everyone has their favorite. I know a lot of happy Rasvim!
Hi, Maelick, we are currently working on Part V. Part2 will be sent over to Redshift this weekend for polishing. We are very excited about the HOL series and hope you will have fun!
For skills, you can create custom gear which you can enchant. So for example, if you need high persuade, you can have an outfit that you have enchanted to boost your persuade. Same thing for mercantile, stealth, etc. So for the race, choose one you think you will like--Rasvim if you like playing an undead and don't mind being insulted frequently. : ) Seiry if you like to be a thief, Nogur if you like fighting melee style, etc. You can always rebalance your skill set during the game if you are not that happy or can play over with a new character. You can even play more than one character with different save files and see which you like better. A few people have even tried playing through as a cleric--there is no such thing--but they restricted themselves to items of wood and things a cleric would use. This was after they had played the game a few times to give themselves a new challenge.
Well, seeing as how Apple's very draconian approval process works, I hope Sony's app store really light's a fire under Apple's ass. This is rediculous for them to do this (along with Vikings). Looking forward to 3.0 of Quest. I'll just be checking for updates on my iTouch now like crazy!
Eventually, it will be out. Apple is slow, and everything else, but they are honest and I guess they have to protect things that only they may know need protecting. : ) When everything comes together, I think you will have a very challenging and satisfying experience.
ue For an rpg experience you can't beat the Quest and its and our expansions--there are so many levels and so many quests and so many charming characters. You can really forget any other world. We packed a lot of creativity and imagination into our games. Some things money can buy. : )
Those of you who ask for a price drop in the Quest base game, consider the fact that it is worth the price. You get what you pay for. That is economics 101: guns or butter-- or .99 cent ho hum or bango. : ) Bango meaning you scored bigtime for the bucks you laid out. : )

this game series is great, but the graphic stop me to buy it. it looks like a game back to 80s on my 486 computer
I play a mage personally. It's ridiculous, by level 20 I have 100% resist magic, I'm practically untouchable. I never finished Ice and Fire. Could someone PM me and tell me how to move it along or point me towards a solution? I went all the way to the monestary on the icy land, and I can't still find WTF to do. No hints, please, be direct. I want to move the plot along and finish it. I got bored searching every free square on the island.
@ writingsama: With high persuade (enchant stuff if necessary), talk to everyone in the abbey. Keep going back to the abbot to see if you get a new conversation. Keep going back to the governor in Eldfell to see if you get a new conversation. You can mark and recall. Spoiler help: Talk to Brother Joram in the garden. Talk to Sister Pamfilea the cook with high persuade. Then you can talk to Brother Benedetto in the cemetery. At some point you'll be able to find the abbot's diary (tapping on right wall of where he appears or hitting there). Then find a boy who will give you a suitcase to deliver to a beautiful lady. Then talk to abbot and priest in poor section of Eldfell. Get bitten by beast, get cured. After cured, go back to guy who gave you potion cure in basement. Then abbot will appear in crypt. Find Sword of God in crypt just before Beast's door, tap, crack wall to left. Equipped with Sword, kill Beast. Decide whether you will take good or evil end. Find Mersant in port for reward or something else.

that's not a bad idea as there is a small bug that redshift is working on. Don't take Silvergirl's cloak--in topic about What happened to Headmistress Cat--sylon/elendil says there's a bug because iphone couldn't transport a color palette of the cloak or some similar graphic transportation problem--they fixed it and gave apple a new update for HOLI. Yikes! That means 2 .... more.....weeks (I can just see Patrick of SpongeBob saying that....2 ......more.....weeks). Just don't take her cloak it will freeze the game. It's a great cloak but wait for the update. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.s. Not my fault. Sigh. Living with the problems of going mac. : )
I got this game this afternoon and I can't even get one quest done grrrrr very few games can kick my butt, and this one is doing a good job.
