Great news! Gonna see if the ui is nice on iphone, because it is more convenient to play. If not, gonna stick to iPad. Maybe do you guys that played on both devices the old version think?
I preferred playing the original on my iPhone, however the old version didn't scale very well to th iPad's larger screen so that could have deterred others. That and the fact that I also do the majority of my gaming on my iPhone now since it's simply more convenient for me because it's always with me.

Can any of you Quest veterans recommend an optimal class? I was looking at battlemage but don't want to get too far before finding out there's a better choice....I'm a bit of a min/maxer
The beautiful thing about this game is that you're not really held to a specific class. The ones offered at character creation are more like templates than hard fast character classes. I tend to spend my points to create a hybrid fighter/mage/their class because there's benefits from having all of their abilities (especially since this isn't a party based adventure where you can spread the load). I recommend checking out Catacomber for ALL kinds of info about this game.

If I take out light weapon on a mage build and change for persuasion will I be in too much of disadvantage? Also, I was think switch mind or protection magic for alchemy. What do you think? My fear is that I walk into an unwinnable situation. Those would be more my playstyle, I guess. Remembering, I am interested in roleplay, not powegaming. Also, race is going to be Derth.
You won't. There's potion crafting, weapon & armor enchanting to help make up for the things your character lacks. Play how you like and enjoy the game - there's plenty of stats to chew on and enjoy.
Universal update is now out! The game is playable on iPhones/iPod Touches and iPads.
