Universal The Quest HD (By Redshift)

cant find this on the australian app store. i thought it was universal now or am i missing something?

 

Try searching for "Redshift The Quest HD."

 

you just need to search "thequesthd" then it will show up.

I swear, this sort of thing is costing Redshift sales. Such a shame. Apples fault. #

 

Yeah, search seems problematic in the App Store.

However, in the US app store at least, searching for "the quest hd" now results in The Quest HD being the first hit on the list (as it should be ).

Searching for "the quest" gives me The Quest Gold, The Quest and The Quest HD as the first three on iPhone. On iPad it's not found (or very low on the list). Searching for "the quest redshift" gives me The Quest HD even on iPad.

Maybe it just takes time for the App Store to update?

 

For those who are new to this amazing game, I've got a helpful tip for you. When you first enter a town be sure to save your game before entering any of the shops. Their merchandise is completely random and reloads every 24 hours in-game. However, if you save outside of a shop it will save you a lot of time getting the items you desire because you can simply reload your saved game and try the shop as many times as necessary. Enjoy!

 

Thanks! Is there any penalty if I take my time grinding and sleeping to recharge my mana?

 

There are a few timed quests (in game, not realtime limited), but otherwise there are no time limits, you can take however long you want.

Haven't seen it mentioned but, for people that have looked at both The Quest and the new remaster, is the price tag worth it for repurchase? Never quite finished The Quest when it first came out, so now I'm looking to revisit it on my iPhone 6. Thinking of buying the remaster for the bells and whistles.

 

I keep crashing after killing half the amazons in the cave. Grrr

Having played the original for many years now, the HD version is definitely worth repurchasing. Especially since it'll be helping a small group of developers.

 

Sounds like it could be a system ram issue. Have you tried doing a hard restart (holding down home and sleep until you see the white Apple). If that doesn't help then maybe it's a bug.

 

Another really awesome new feature is that you can equip two separate sets of weapons, and switch between them quickly. This definitely comes in handy!

Please send us a save file (which is as close to the crashing as possible, maybe one in the cave, before you start to fight them?). You can copy your saves using iTunes and you can find our email address on our site (redshift.hu). If there is a certain pattern which helps reproduce the bug (like fighting the amazons in certain order, or using certain spells/items, etc.), please write that too. Thanks!

 

Thanks for your input. The upgrade in graphics do look really good. Sounds like a worthwhile purchase.
