There no chance that the original the quest and its exspansions will get taken off right? I don't want to get the HD love it and then not be able to play all the other exspansions. What makes HD better besides the graphical updates?
The original Quest and all expansion will remain of course. The HD version has all new graphics, better version of the original music and lots of little (or bigger) improvements. Like, for example, a new alchemy ingredient selector screen (accessible by touching the ingredients). There are lots of improvements to the text (it's still not Shakespeare, but hopefully it's much better now ), tweaks and fixes to the quests, items, spells, maps... Everything, really. It's still the same game, no drastic changes, of course. Also, Islands of Ice and Fire received a bit more extensive overhaul in the quest department. The main quest should be much less confusing (but still quite intricate), all other quests have been improved, and we've added a few new quests too. Speaking of Islands of Ice and Fire: If everything goes alright, it should come at the beginning of September.
I would say in the area of 100 hours easy (with the expansion). However, these types of games are very hard to hold to a specific timeframe because they can be completed so many different ways.

Just buy it... I played it for 100's of hours several years ago... Replaying it in HD is awesome.. Def. worth your money.
My girlfriend is going to kill me. I said that I was gonna play 15 min and when I realize more than 2 hours have past. Lol I am slowing learning the things. I am doing some potions and talking to people around without going too far. I have 5 or 6 active quests at the moment.
Everything that Elendil already mentioned above, plus you can now add notations to the map. Very helpful for marking areas/quests that are too hard to tackle just yet.
