I agree. I'll these haters saying "AC stinks" "same game every year" I'm pretty sure have never played an AC game, or there just still (justifiably) upset about unity's launch, and haven't even played syndicate. I like playing as both Evie and Jacob, I think they did a great job making their skill trees quite varied from each other.

Yeah the personalities are good, I quite like all the black flag references and am also pleased they focused on single player, dropped the heavy handed (although patched into insignificance) microtransaction and companion app system of Unity, and while I loved it for what it was - the ships from BF and 3, they were great but deviated from the whole assassin vibe.

Yeah adventure games aren't going to be everyone's cuppa, Driveclub releases seem to be a bit delayed in the US so maybe in a week or two? The more I play it the more it's apparent it's added on, Crashes are just the Driveclub screen, handling seems different depending on your view, but despite all that I've been enjoying it and love the speed.

As for joining a club you can browse clubs and it will recommend for you based on your locale and so on, or you can just pick one you prefer. It's built into the Clubs flow, but not sure where exactly. You could always start your own club if you wanted.

Heads up the Events thing has a bonus running on certain mission types for Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Ok, thanks. I tried starting my own club when I got the game a few weeks after launch last year, but no one wanted to join a club listed as "inactive" because it only had me in it.

If you get suck and have no luck joining something local (I would also try posting on one of the PS4 driveclub communities) feel free to PM me your PSN id and I can send you an invite.

Didnt see anything playing today. I will keep an eye out, although i am actually good on pretty much everything. I am not too interested in XP as i am level 7 still pkaying sequence 5 so a bit OP. Having a blast though.

I think the event is those "escort carriage" missions scatter around (not the hijack ones). I just finished sequence 4, and the Dr. Ellington assassination mission was so well designed with the the optional way of assassination ( I won't spoil it) I physically smiled as I figured it out. Do you know what the "unique ability" I was supposed to get for doing the side activities in the mission (the special way off assassination)?

I think the optional way is actually the intended way. It is the only way that makes sense, and is appropriate in its sense of justice. I didnt try it straight - perhaps i will try a replay.
It was a few days ago that played the mission, i dont remember what "unique ability" one gets for completing both optional activities. Probably have to google for it, or ask at gamefaqs. I am still just on Sequence 5 and have maxed gang upgrades and just doing a lot of side quests. Going to get back on Sequences today at least to finish 5. Weird how sequence 8 is available. I am wondering if the timeline gets thrown off, but the availability can't be a glitch.

Ok. It is odd how sequence 8 is on there. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out in what order the play the mission. I have two Evie missions, one Jacob mission and one main sequence mission in sequence 5. Plus all the side activities. Also, I can't to seem to get past level 4, I keep buying and crafting new gear and upgrading my skill tree, but no luck.

You have to put a certain number of points in the skills to advance levels. If you look at the skill tree, in the upper left it will say to use x number of skill points to advance. 1000 xp per skill point. I think level 5 is like 10.

It does not matter the order i dont think. They all have their own flavors. I am trying to max out ned wynerts loyalty doing solely hijacks and cargo deliveries. The last level of loyalty is slooooow.

Using the shops in Syndicate is odd, they always comment like you've bought nothing, "maybe next time", "nothing to your liking huh" type of thing, and you've just spent money. Having the Rooks follow you is also funny, you kill someone with them and they go on about murder, loot the bodies and they call you a thief. Intitally I thought this was just crowd chatter but they definitely do it too.

The Sequence 8 thing is also weird, I haven't cleared 3 boroughs, just the 2, so it is still locked. But I don't get why you would be able to skip Sequences if that were the case.

Still, it's one of those games you don't care about the bugs (and there are a few) as it's just fun to play.

I agree about the shops, it's quite strange. I haven't noticed the rooks scolding you before, though. That's funny considering they're doing just as much killing. I haven't found many bugs yet but I just now finished the first Charles dickens memory, and after killing the boss with my pistol Jacob just continued to walk around aiming the pistol ( but not like it looks when you're holding down L2, it just had the regular third person view but I was aiming the gun) and I couldn't put it away, run, or climb the ladder to get out of the room. I ended up restarting from the title screen.

So, trying to avoid spoilers - hopefully a character name is not - are you talking about Ned Wynert? Because that is who i am referring to.

Nope, not Ned. It's not ground shakingly awesome, just unexpected (for me at least), you will find something different if you look on the map.

Btw does anyone have the dreadful crimes DLC showing up on their map? Mine doesn't seem to. Edit - figured this out, download in game says "content not available at this time", it wasn't listed on any of the stores to download, but if you go to your download list on the web store it's there. User friendly.

Evie also has a free Steampunk outfit on PSN, there's a paid pack with one for Jacob plus some weapons as well but bit pricey for what it is.
