Phantom Pain companion app is out... but, it's not compatible with my device, an iPad 3. Which is a bit stupid considering it is just mirroring the iDroid but never mind. As for the game, 4 hours in and weird but brilliant.
I'm pretty sure Konami Europe support don't read, logged a ticket through their website saying the companion app is incompatible on an iPad 3 due to requiring metal, get told I need to log a complaint through the support button in the app, reiterate I can't download it so can't do that, support replies with that it isn't out yet and has been delayed, I tell them it is available on the NZ store, next reply is to send me a list of features and a screenshot for the Ground Zeroes companion app (which works fine on an iPad 3). Crazy, I really don't know what to say.
FYI, the game Foul Play proceeds (well, 90% of them) are going to charity and the minimum donation to get it is $2. Then you can enter into a contest to go to Playstation Experience (one entry per dollar spent on Foul Play). I haven't started it yet, but apparently if you liked Castle Crashers you'll like it. Plus the art style is amazing. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/09/01/win-a-trip-to-playstation-experience-with-ps-heroes/ https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/foul-play/cid=UP3643-CUSA00790_00-FOULPLAY00000001
Ok, I'm right now leaving home to get my copy of MGS V, anything I should know about Ground Zeroes or Peace Walker for getting the full experience?
I stumped up for the Driveclub season pass since the price drop in EU, metric ton of content and good value. Project Cars would be my sim racer of choice but Driveclub would easily be my weightier arcade racer, handling in a lot of arcade racers has gotten really weak but I think Driveclub strikes a good balance and is pretty challenging.
If you like tough roguelikes, Flame Over PS4 will be worth picking up next week (US and EU). I have the Vita version and it's a lot of fun. The PS4 version is supposed to have improvements and new features. Unfortunately not cross-buy, but as I recall it was pretty cheap: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/09/10/flame-over-heats-up-ps4-on-september-15th/ It's a firefighting game.
Looks pretty interesting. The comments below the thread are interesting. A lot of people not happy about not being cross-buy. If the price is reasonable I will probably bite.
The Vita version is $10, so I expect the PS4 version will be the same price. We find out on Tuesday. So $20 if you want both versions probably. $20 seems to be the new $15 when it comes to PSN game prices, so Flame Over is on par with that if you want both versions. EDIT: I see they said in the comments that it will be $12 on PS4. I'm going to get it. Fun game and I'd like to see the improvements in the PS4 version.
Gravity Rush 2 and Gravity Rush Remastered announced for PS4 http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/09/15/gravity-rush-2-and-gravity-rush-remastered-announced-for-ps4/
Flame Over is excellent, and for me hard as nails. I keep dying. But, it looks gorgeous. At $12 seems like a great game for the price. Crunc gave this a recommend for the PS Vita and the PS 4 version has a lot of enhancements.
I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't crossbuy but I ended up double dipping anyway. The improvements they made makes the game look a lot cleaner and less like a mobile game. I did end up getting glitched out of the game during the third stage so that was fairly frustrating. Still one of the better full price purchases I've made on PSN.
Yeah, it's tough but fun. I haven't double-dipped yet. I'm balking a bit at paying $12 for a 2nd version, but I may well crack before long....
Ok, apparently my girlfriend is awful at MGS V, the game eventually crashed on her 9th try at the first mission at trying to escape from the Skull unit
Anyone grabbing Soma in a couple of days? Not typically into horror games but the AI thing sounds interesting.
It's quite good, interesting anyway. But has a persistent progress bug where game will crash and can't get any further, good thing I bought this on a closed, tested and stable platform...

I hope nobody pre-ordered Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5: "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is a glitchy mess" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIXkRXYbKaI&feature=youtu.be
