How does Battlefield stack up visually? Videos seem to be a bit inconsistent in quality but been on the edge re buying it the last couple of days, or saving the money for Thief and Infamous.
I'll answer my own question due to having bought it, it's nice but slightly muddy due to the upscaling. It has some really nice scenes and does have plenty of wow moments, just a pity they didn't make 1080p crispness and some spots needed a higher level of quality control to keep everything consistent visually.
There's almost certainly going to be an Infamous bundle, and with the Titanfall bundle that includes the game for free, I imagine Sony will match that and the Infamous bundle will be $400 with the game. But we shall see. If you can wait, I'd wait.
I don't know what has taken me so long, but finally started saving toward a PS4. At $25 every 2 weeks I'm looking at October, but that's better than just wanting one and having no plan in place.
It sounds like Jeff Minter is now working on TxK for PS4. More reason to save my pennies! He tweeted yesterday that he had sounds and stuff from TxK coming from something other than a Vita, and that after he just got back from a trip to Sony, so, yeah.
Really loving my PS4, glad I bought it over an Xbone(or Wii U). The Xbox One has a couple of games I'd like to play, but I learned my lesson with the 360 to not go Xbox for the early exclusives. Ended up enjoying my PS3 more last gen, so that swayed my decision this gen.
Jeff Minters new game based on his classic, Tempest 2000 (which itself was a variant of the classic arcade game Tempest). Great music, crazy visuals (but not too crazy), superb gameplay. Currently a Vita-only game. It is excellent and should be fantastic on a big screen.
Almost finished inFamous SS, I'd still put 2 as my favourite due to a longer story, more variety and more things to do in general but SS has still been really enjoyable and looks great. The art of traversing the cityscape has dropped off a bit due to some of the powers, but that also gives the benifiet of being a bit more fun. Can't wait to see what they follow up with, the difference between 1 and 2 was night and day so expecting great things for a sequel.
