Just so I am clear - I can't find this information in the Terms of Agreement - and even though somethings make sense, they don't always work that way... If I purchase things in the Plus store, and then let my subscription lapse at the end of 30 days, I will still have access to those games? The Plus agreement is sort of iffy to me, and I don't want to only purchase the games for 30 days, and then have to pay to play... I know it makes sense that having paid for them, I would have access, but not always true... for instance with Xbox - if you have games on your drive, but you don't have internet connection, the game will only let you play the demo version, the full version remains locked unless and until you have an internet connection. You don't have to have Gold, but you have to have an internet connection. I would think that there would be a code on your hard drive, or somewhere so the machine knows you own it, but it does not work that way...
Yes. For games that you purchased, you will be able to keep them forever even if it had a PSN+ discount on it. However, if you download a game for free because of PSN+, after your subscription runs out, you won't be able to use it anymore.
Unless things have changed, this is only the case for consoles other than the one the game was initially downloaded on. i.e. Download a game, play it online or offline with your console. Go to a friend's house and sign in using your Gamertag, download the game again... online play only. I haven't had my 360 connected to the internet in ages but I've been playing Trials HD and Shadow Complex
Ill have to call Xbox then - this is 4th machine that MS has sent me, and I can't remember which one I purchased various games with... I guess MS should be able to tie them all to the correct machine. That would be nice for me, since my kids are always using live to play MC3. Was Outland discounted on Plus? This looks like a phenomenal game!
Alright alright. Go download outland or w/e you want. I'm not gonna download any of those free game ever so you can download yours without any issues!!! (the awesome free games package for asia which includes neither LBP, inFamous nor Dead Nation has nothing to do with my decision. Honest!) Edit: Anyone happens to have an unused US psn account by any chance? I almost created one when I couldnt found a few demos in my store but was too lazy to actually make the id. Wish I had created that account back then >.<
So I guess we can call it the PSV instead of the NGP now. I'm getting the Wi-Fi version. Not interested in getting a contract with AT&T.
I don't remember them mentioning contracts, however they said they would be discussing pricing at a later date. It would be too expensive for Sony to give us the same deal Kindle customers get anyways.
It would be mind-blowing if the 3G version somehow included a subscription...but yeah, I'm guessing that games would take up substantially more bandwidth than books. Ah well...I'm still buying this the day it comes out. I'm not a huge Uncharted fan, but it still looks like it'd be a lot of fun to play on my daily commute to work. Add in that list of developers Sony released last night, and the whole thing looks pretty promising.
The show was mostly PSV stuff, but Overstrike looks like it could be good, but there weren't many actual announcements, just more news on other stuff. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was announced and reminds me of Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Uncharted looks like that is going to be my personal GOTY. Unless Skyrim is as good as it looks with 300+ hours of content. Overall, I'm hyped for UC3, BF3, RAGE, and Skyrim in Q4. PSV looks like a helluva deal as well, with plenty of games, MNR and LBP again. Uncharted, a new Bioshock spinoff, a Resistance game, a Killzone game, and many more.
I don't think Skyrim could have anything less than 300 hours of content. Many people broke the 1000 hour mark with Oblivion.
New, epic E3 Starhawk trailer here http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/06/07/starhawk-watch-the-e3-2011-trailer-here-2/ Also, I'm watching the BF3 E3 live stream if anyone else wants to watch. http://www.ustream.tv/battlefield3
Hours of CONTENT, not just screwing around . Anyway, just picked up inFamous 2 today and played it a bunch, it's AMAZING! Another must-have PS3 exclusive. So far I haven't found any flaws with the game, if you liked the first at all, you'll love the sequel! Now if I can get around to buying LA Noire before the winter lineup hits...
