I'm going to play the absolute hell out of this game. I don't care if it's the worst game in the world, I'm talking days straight till I beat it with a bag of doritos and some cans of MDew and Arizona's. I can't flacking wait.
I'm not, what's so great about it? All I've seen is a trailer with a load of cliché film noir scripting and fairly regular current-gen graphics. GTA IV was less fun than it's predecessors and this looks like it's headed in the same direction. For some reason Rockstar are going for this whole cinematic theme for their newer games and leaving out the entertainment. The reason it is going to be good is it's original, there's tons of different parts to different cases along with choosing how you go about them. It reminds me of Heavy Rain quite a bit with it's unique gameplay and mystery setting.
Well the script sure doesn't sound original so I'm not sure what part is. If it's like Heavy Rain it'll only be good for a single playthrough and I prefered the days when Rockstar gave me endless replayability. It tapered off with GTA IV and if your analysis is correct it'll disappear with L.A. Noire.

Like GTA IV then? That didn't have much either. It was ridiculous how empty that city was. The game might well turn out to be decent, but Rockstar have definitely lost a spark. They've gotten too serious. Hmm... I could offer you a candy bar as compensation. Here you go. Actually no, it's soap.
