For me that's a pro. It adds an element of fear knowing that a mountain lion could jump out at any time and rip you to shreds. The packs of wolves are fun too.
It's not just the lions or bobcats that can kill you. I was riding my horse and out of nowhere a freaking boar charges at me and knocks me over. Then everytime I would get up it continued to run me over and this resulted in my death, an extremely embarrassing one.

Picked up Crysis 2 tonight. Glad that it was only the preview builds that were having issues with framerate, etc. Should hold me over until Patapon 3 and Portal 2 though!
So... What do you think? I kinda suck at MP right now, but I'm having a TON of fun. In my personal opinion, it's much more fun than Black Ops. If only it had local multiplayer... But running, jumping a huge gap, turning invisible mid-air, then stealth killing one of their team is Soooooo rewarding.
Yeah I'm enjoying it as well Rank 11 so far, I still suck too but it's early days yet. Battlefield aside, this is the best MP I've played since CoD4.
Got to play some single player and it's fantastic. Crazy start to it. But I'm really loving the multiple pathway gameplay. I'm a stealth/platform kinda guy. Getting a little better at MP. Working my way towards a positive KD ratio...
I may be on an Xbox but that's kind of irrelevant. Crysis 2 is the best single player I have played in a loong time. Devs should start paying attention Little bit buggy occasionally (A.I pathfinding), but it's not anything major so far. In the running for one of my favorite single player campaigns, Bioshock is the current leader. Edit: Plus, playing with my new Turtle Beach X11s is totally Badass.
You're post is irrelevant because Uncharted 2 is the best single player campaign of all time! Then Bioschock and Mass Effect 2, and more, and more.
I'd put both U2 and HL2 over Crysis 2's single player, but it's definitely up there among the greats.
Have you played Crysis 2's SP yet? He said it's up there, close to the best. I agree with him. It isn't the best, but it's up there for sure. The suit just makes it sooo fun.
