So it sounds like a game with very high replay value. Can you describe the actual platforming though? Is it 3D and third person ala Daxter? Does it have more of a top down Fat Princess feel? Or is it 2D, like ACII for the iPhone? Are the controls tight? Is it mostly fighting or platforming? Sorry for all the questions, but the term "platformer" covers such a wide number of games-Mario is a platformer, as is PoP, but in my eyes, they couldn't be less alike ;)

EXTREMELY high replay value. It is 3D but on 3 planes. The games vary from fighting to legitmate platforming. It can be like mario, or anything else. but, it is not top down, nor in a full 3D world. But, LBP 2 will have ALOT more stuff, like top down, and more which I can't remember right now

Well I just got MAG, and to my surprise I'm actually enjoying it quite a lot more than MW:2 and BFBC2. I'm level 6 playing in Valor. If anyone else plays this game as Valor then you're welcome to add me (just send me a PM). I'd like to join a clan, although my K/D ratio isn't very good, but it's incredibly hard to have a K/D ratio much above 1 when your team is constantly getting your asses kicked by S.V.E.R. I've probably played at least 15 matches by now and we haven't won against S.V.E.R even once :(

ahaha see, its a nice breathe of fresh air, so maybe there arent as much gun or whatever, but theres no gay kill streaks or nubs vs. 1337 s. its team vs. team. Im about to prestige 3 but dk what group to go to again...each has its up and downs...

I always pre-order as I receive games the day before release here in the UK when I do that online.

huh I really need to get that Uncharted 2 finally. I played demo, which was mind blowing, but never really got into buying game which I wont really touch after completing.

Btw... what about Red Dead Redemption? Except the fact its really easy, I enjoyed it a lot

Yeah LBP is needed, God of War 3 is a rental, MGS4 should burn for straying from the perfect formula.

Uncharted 2 is better in terms of replayability because in RDR if you go to the online free roam, no one is there except maybe two people. o_O.

Uncharted 2 always has people playing multiplayer, however.

    0.09!?!?!?!
And I thought my 0.53 was bad!

It really doesn't matter though, MAG seems to be more about objectives and teamwork than boring K/D ration, which is a good thing.
I just take pleasure in healing/reviving other players, helping my team to complete squad objectives and occasionally getting some good kills.
I'm just glad that I'm not a stressed out MW2 player that's obsessed with keeping up an insane K/D ratio and feels actual pain when they lose.
It's nice to just be relaxed about playing games :)

I think my BFBC2 ratio is just under 1. I'm quite pleased with it, 'cause I'm always the guy who's prepared to take a risk or take a hit if it means my team can advance. To MW2 fans it'd merely look like I suck but in reality I'm helping out and making myself useful for once.

Yeah. It's decent but the game is really all about the single player story.

TPS shooting - HOWEVER --- you can choose to ---

--Play the Story with 2 other people (co-op)
--Play Survival which is basically Nazi Zombies in TPS (co-op)
--Play Gold Rush, in which there is a treasure guarded by computer enemies and you have to figure out how to get it without anyone dying (co-op)
--Buy the co-op pack and get Siege, in which you, well, siege a room full of enemies and clear them all out and stay in the room for a certain amount of time to go onto the next part.
--Play Deathmatch, which is pretty obvious :/
--Play Plunder, which is just like Gold Rush, albeit the computers are real people and both teams are trying for the treasure
--Play Elimination, in which you only have one life, and whichever team kills the other first wins.
--Play King of the Hill, which is also pretty obvious
--Play Chain Reaction, in which you capture important chokeholds in apid succession
--Play The Lab, which only happens every weekend, but the developers add something to each game mode. This weekend, everyone has a 92FS in Plunder (a weak, but efficient pistol) and there are no other weapons around the map, which should even things up a bit. Next weekend? Deathmatch with an unlimited supply of grenades only.

Also there are 9 maps in competitive multiplayer, (with 6 available as DLC) and 9 in co-op Survival and Gold Rush (with 4 as DLC)

There are a ton of other modes that I'm forgetting, but those are the ones I play the most.

Not decent. Awesome is the correct word.

You can't compare them because they're in different genres... but I personally like them equally.

Chances are, if you like LBP, you'll like MNR and vice versa.

Wow, tough choice. Like others have said they're pretty much equal, so it all comes down to personal preference. Do you like racing or platforming better?

(BTW, my copy of ModNation Racers shipped today :) Got it off eBay with free Sackboy code! w00t!)
(The reason I know about MNR is I was in the private beta, before it was public)
