Not too bad, pretty cold. Lots of hills and long roads... that's about it My Vanquish order just dispatched as well, that's two games waiting for me at home now. Fallout 3 was exactly the same. Still is in fact, there are probably 100+ bugs in there even with all the patches, but the point is most of them require pretty specific circumstances to arrive before they'll activate, so most people won't encounter them. If you look on the Fallout wiki you'll see that a huge number of quests have one or more bugs listed at the bottom of the page. That's the price you pay for making such a massive game.
Sounds like where I live mate. Up on a big hill, at least I'll be the last person to get flooded. I love Shopto.Net... Guaranteed every Wednesday before release, I get a text saying your order has been sent 1st class. Then next day 100% I'll have it before 11am. That's service. EDIT: Why the hell is there a thumbs down on my post? Haha.
My favourite bug is the one to drop through the world and traverse the plains of nothing to get to the Citidel early to get your Power Armour early. LOL
It doesn't matter to me about the bugs, but I'm getting Uncharted 1, Fallout 3, AND Fallout: New Vegas. I'll be good on games until at least Mass Effect 2.
Man, I wish you'd played DR1 so I'd know if it still have the same effect for people who've had both. It might just be a first time fascination. So no Rock Band 3 or Gran Turismo 5? Two of the biggest titles of the year still to come! Then there's NFS: Hot Pursuit, CoD: Black Ops, AC: Brotherhood and uh... Splatterhouse, maybe. I'm far from done this year
Phantasy Star Portable 2, FO:NV are already out and that's all I needed next to *cough* Fable 3 *cough* Black Ops I will probably get but I am not very excited about it. lol sounds stupid I know.
Johnny, sorry bro! But I absolutely assure you that it kicks ass. Definitely pick it up when it goes half price.
Almost forgot Grand Turismo 5. No CoD for me since it's not going to be too much different from any of the others. NFS: Hot Pursuit I'm not getting because I'm spending too much on games lately. AC: Brotherhood looks good but, nah. 1000th post... imsojeloz
Yeah I'm actually not excited about CoD or AC at all, but I just know that once the games are out and people are talking about them, I'll be bored one evening with nothing else to buy and I'll just get an incredible urge to add a game to my collection. 1000th post in this topic.
I think he was going by the response number that's listed on the Lounge page. Anywho... I can feel my wallet already floating away. Rock Band 3's just around the corner...
Picking up a keyboard/pro guitar? I can't make my mind up. Pro guitar would be awesome, but it'll knock me all the way back down to Easy difficulty from Expert, only this time it could take freakin' years before I claw my way back up.
Oh didn't even realize! hahahaha belated-ding! I don't know about the Pro guitar. Why not just... learn to play a real guitar...? Just my .02
I'm planning on trying my hand at the Pro guitar first; I'm gonna get a nice, hand-crafted acoustic at some point in the next year, so I figured that the Pro would be an okay way to segway into a real guitar. Plus, the MIDI capabilities will be nice once I finally get around to learning how to use FL Studio proficiently (assuming I learn how to play the guitar as well ). The learning curve is kinda daunting for me, too. But I've been wanting to learn how to play for a while now; I figure, why not start by learning songs I want to play rather than "Mary had a Little Lamb?" That's the thing; it practically is a real guitar. all the frets and strings are there, and if you pony up a little more you can buy an actual guitar that works with both an amp and RB3. The difference is, instead of paying hundreds on lessons, you pay a one-time deal of $60 and play the songs you know.
Well several reasons really. The first one being that learning to play Rock Band is undoubtedly faster and easier... even if I could play a real guitar it wouldn't stop the game being great fun, so I'd play it anyway. The second reason is that the new pro guitar and training modes are designed specifically to help people switch to real instruments, so by enjoying the game I basically am learning to play a real guitar. I own a real guitar, and the pro mode on RB3 is note for note... so I could instantly transfer that to real world playing as soon as I've mastered it on the game. It won't be perfect, but I've tried learning guitar before and I'm positive this way is a lot more entertaining.
I suppose... I leanred how to play the guitar in 7th grade so when music games came out it ruined it for me. The game that is. I could not play it at all. It took me forever to learn how to cordinate buttons to strings. And now that this is coming out... it just seems weird I don't know how to explain it. Half of the songs are so simple I could learn them by ear (that's how I taught myself anyways) and play along with a real guitar. So theoretically then, if I know Crazy Train or One Armed Scizzor on the real guitar (which I do) will I be able to play them on a Pro Rock Band 3 Guitar on the highest difficulty with little practice? I am not asking to sound like a dick, I am asking if that is really possible lol
Yeah totally possible, one of the pro guitars is actually just a real electric guitar, strings and everything. Provided you hadn't learned a slightly altered version of the song or something, the game would require you to hit the exact notes and chords on Expert difficulty. There's a video somewhere where they've split the output into an amp as well, so you can hear him really playing the song.
