I couldn't care less about GT5, or any other racing game for that matter. Well except for TDU2, which I'm really looking forward to. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I was planning to get TDU 2 but it got delayed so I'm kinda leaning towards NFS Hot Pursuit now. I actually find arcade racers more enjoyable to play, my copy of Forza 3 is collecting dust now.
You'll have one if you buy GT5 It shocks me how kids these days don't seem to be into cars anymore. It's a sad state of affairs when the likes of Pokecraze can get more attention than the mechanical genius of automobile engineering. Speed is good, drifting is good, crashing is good when it's virtual, there's no real downside. Mind you, it seems to be far more popular over in Europe and Japan, probably due to a bunch of the big name manufacturers being located there. Man, I've got a real urge to go thrash an Enzo around the Nurburgring now.
yeah iv noticed that with my sisters generation.. just aint into old cars like kids of my generation.. i love fast cars.. just sign of the times.. green movement.. cars are evil in there eyes. and Detroit is worried.. was reading a interesting article.. they are not sure how to get generation Y i guess thats the next generation? shrugs, i know im generation X.. yeah the drop out generation.. laughs.. but i guess old grumpy people call every new generation slackers. chris.
i plan on putting my ps2 ( will be using a 2.4ghz pc for the mame aspect of it ) into my mame arcade cab im in the process of building. figure ill put a decent stereo into it too and have one hell of a entertainment mame cabinet. here are some pictures of my progress http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LGSZUREL2Z5MZSB3LEHT3JPX6E/album/photos you can read the blog of the build too if you bored, just ignore the terrible English. but i blogged enough info to build your own. just click on the blog icon to the left.. if you interested in building one.. hit me up and ill help anyway i can if need be. and if i had to build this all over again id use MDF.. since i used OSB im gonna have to use wood trim to protect the edges etc.. made some more progress on the cab today.. chris.
Played with the Move today, and I love it. It has huge potential. I may be selling my wii this Christmas...
I can kind of relate on kids not knowing cars much in todays generation but I'd like to think it has to do with the technology thats implemented into cars nowadays. Back in the day when I worked on my own cars (pony type cars), you never had to hook anything to them except maybe a charger or timer light, etc. Now cars need to be hooked up to a computer for diagnostic readings and such. Car manufacturers don't consider the average guy to still be able to work on their own car unfortunately. I'd be more comfortable working on an old 69' Dodge Charger compared to whats under the hood of todays affordable econo boxes. (....sorry for deviating from the thread).
yeah i like being able to work on my 1960 sleeper. it is pretty crazy how much computer power is in modern cars. iv hooked up mine to a laptop and played with it. and got more horse power.. heh interesting times.. but when the price of gas went to 5.00 - 6.00 couple summers ago.. my sleeper and its very poor gas millage almost made the hobie no fun. chris.
Playing through Uncharted 2 for the third time now, and still feels epic, but not near as epic when I first got it and played through it with almost no breaks (other than a little sleep and a meal). I'm planning on either getting Resistance 1 or Uncharted 1 sometime soon. Which on should I get, or should I get both Deathspanks, or Sonic 4 and Deathspank.
Resistance 1 doesn't suck, it was a launch game for the PS3 and one of the best launch titles at the time. It's just old. I was leaning toward Uncharted since the 2nd one is so dang awesome!
Very true my clever friend! On a totally unrelated note, when are we going to see a video of you tearing it up on RB2?
Well I didn't mean actually owning one... even if you owned one there would still be hundreds of others you don't own. TV shows and games give me all the car action I need. I don't have one myself because London is a terrible city to drive in, but I find them a hell of a lot more interesting than Pokemon. Better looking too. Resistance 1 really does suck if you ask me. The only reason it was hyped up is because there was nothing else to play, as usual the fans got desperate and made out it was actually good enough to compete with Halo. It wasn't. It's the only game from this generation I've sold. Haha, were you expecting one? I flick between Hard and Expert but I don't think I'm quite good enough to show off. Besides, if I'm trying to catch it on film I'm bound to mess up a million times Even more amusing is that I tried vocals on Green Day Rock Band a couple of days ago... never tried vocals before in my life but I was hitting 99-100% on Hard and 98% on Expert. I swear I can't actually sing, I was just trying to do my best impression of the dude from Green Day.
