HAHAHA, that was super slick my friend!

On to matters at hand... LoS is excellent. I find it gorgeous to look at, the voice acting is superb, I mean Patrick Stewart for Gods sake!

The combat is fluid, very satisfying, varied. All this coming from a 10 minute demo, so that's always good. L2 + Left stick to dodge feels really natural. Daggers can be picked up and thrown with Circle, the usual GOW style Square and Triangle for slashing, Cross (X) for jumping.

There is a really cool, cinematic horseback chase sequence at the end also, very different and well done.

Only drawback for me are those incessant fountains of health, GOW, Dante's Inferno, how many countless others? I guess at least in this one, you don't have to hammer a stupid button to replenish the health!

    That's me done.

You need auto aim to make up for the shitty motion controls for CoD? What a joke.

So you just admit to motion controls being shitty for FPSs, thus proving my point. Nobody honestly knows what your point is. You think the Wii is better than the other consoles, but you don't have any example or reasons why. Just "Cuz they make mo money".

Oh shit, the demo is out? *downloads*

The controls sound decent, pretty similar to Ninja Gaiden with the dodging and circle for projectiles. I just hope it's not too similar to God of War, I really want the CV series to keep it's own identity.

Edit: anyone tried the Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light trial? Different style to Tomb Raider, seems more strategic and puzzle-based. Could be fun.

Where did i said that? i said and i will quote mylsef since you fail to read correctly. how is auto aim working for yea?

but first let me go by previews of gamers on the first cod 3 game.... that was realsed with wii

"tical in regards to story and campaign, EXAKT’s mission was to weave the Wii’s innovative control system into the mix. Any gamer worth their weight in Doritos (let’s just be honest already…gamers love junk food) will recognize that while console FPS’ have come a long way, playing with a keyboard and a mouse on a PC will always feel natural. That’s just the way it goes and it will be a sad day when there are no longer any gamers around to remember this. The Wii version of CoD3 comes as close to the feel of a mouse and keyboard as you’re going to get on a console. The Wii-mote acts as your cursor (targeting reticule), just as a mouse would, while the nunchuck moves your character. The added benefit to this configuration is that your aim is incredibly fast, enabling you to whip around and put an enemy in your sight in milliseconds, instead of wasting precious seconds moving the R analog stick into position. Those playing CoD3 on the Wii for the first time will require a learning curve of about 20 – 30 minutes. Not surprisingly those who have played CoD3 extensively on the other consoles might require more time to come to
grips with the control scheme due to the inherent differences.

Now let see what others... say about it

    review

". Where the title sets itself apart form the other console versions is in the revamped FPS control. Working along the same lines as Metroid 3: Corruption, Call of Duty utilizes a bounding box that gives the player faster and more precise controls, very similar to a PC mouse and keyboard. When the cursor is in the middle of the screen, the player is still. Start moving the Wii-mote against an invisible bounding box, however, and you'll start to move your character's head as well. The farther from the center of the screen you move the controller, the faster you'll turn.

But does it work? That's the question on everyone's mind. After all, Call of Duty 3 got a huge graphical overhaul on the other next gen systems, so the game's control better be worth it, right? Well, the overall feel is definitely solid, but we wouldn't go as far as to say any and every player out there is going to enjoy it more than the traditional dual-analog setup.

now that was teh first game to do well with motion controls and got better.

    modern warefare review

"When it comes to the overall options given to Wii users, Reflex is a step in the right direction for Activision's line of shooters. Trumped by only The Conduit, Reflex allows for full tweaking of the aim area's bounding box, and plenty of sliders are included to let players switch up how fast the camera moves, how sensitive the cursor is when you move the pointer, and what buttons/motions are mapped to what actions. You can even change the cursor type, an obvious addition due to the user feedback from World at War. When it comes to pure customization, Reflex is definitely on the right track.

No offense, really, but this site has more casual gamers than anything else... most iPhone games are 5-minute pick-up-n-play deals.

Will do. Probably tomorrow given the speed of my download :)

It's a casual gaming iDevice forum, 3 outta 4 people are casual gamers, the other 1/4 is hardcore gamers. Seeing as you own a Wii and a Wii only, I'd call you a casual gamer.

    Why not?

B1. yea i should be using it more... but everytime i am done typing i click enter. just something i need to copy and paste.

having a same thing a cosnole can do ... other than upate its horse power and grapchis nothing else will die out and stop.

why you think vhs are no more? why you think dvd are going to be going away for blu-ray

see you got to update, now i understand people might not like motion controlers that why i think developers should use to option one with motion controls one without it in a game.

but to say its not right for gaming.... than i don't know what to say. so i guess if that teh case online,hd, 3d are not right for gaming either.

You need to get understand the word Gimmicky before using it.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/gimmick

if the motion wii are a gimmick than the hd is a gimmick as well.

3D is bad, HD is good, online is good... got it, okay :)

"a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business."
From the Dictionary application on my iMac, 'nuff naid.

Completely agree that upgrades need to be made when dealing with technology. However, that still kinda bashes on Nintendo again: they refused to upgrade their system with HD graphics and with an effective online system, which are turning out to be quite a downside for them in the long run. Major third-party titles aren't supported by the Wii because they focus heavily on graphics and lots of content; the Wii cannot handle it like the other consoles can.

Saying that multiplayer isn't right for gaming just because motion control is not doesn't make too much sense to me. Care to elaborate?

Also, I think he used the definition of Gimmick quite well:

It attracted appeal. It was something fresh and new that people hadn't really seen implemented on such a scale. Even though it had many imperfections to start with, people flocked to it for the "wow" factor. Now the hype is dying down; the games require more attention and polish in order to sell well. His statement works perfectly well in that sense. HD graphics capability has become more of a necessity in this time; motion controls have not, as of yet. Therefore, HD is not the gimmick that motion controlling has come to be currently.

And third parties fed off of the casual gamers who will go out and by a title from the cover, not look at the back or look up gameplay or reviews. And they can still do that.

    :p
