I feel Crysis 2 will be the Halo killer multiplayer, that or Brink. Those multiplayers are both looking epic!
Holy fetch.... I kinda agree. They do look amazing, but there will be no Halo Killer now. Halo has and will be a legend. I don't enjoy it as much as most, but it was the 2nd doom in a sense. It was a total jump up in the quality of shooters. Now that the Halo legend is almost over, nothings gonna kill it. Plenty better will come out, but the memory of when Halo first started will always remain. But Crysis 2 looks awesome and Brink looks AMAZING! The seamless multiplayer/singleplayer mixed with the fast pace and rpg will be awesome. Brink is right there with infamous 2 on my wishlist.
There is no "Halo Killer", halo is finished after reach anyways. And why are we talking about halo on the ps3 board? Personally, I don't think crysis 2 will be big, but I think that brink looks amazing.
The PS3 "board" is where Halo killers are discussed. Think about it. As far as I'm concerned there are plenty of Halo killers, because Halo is shit and so are most of it's fans.
I'm very much in agreement, it's nothing special. Saying that, I was watching GTTV last night and I felt that this REACH could be the best of the series.
Agreed, to a sense. The first Halo was amazing. Ahead of it's time for me. I loved it to death. Then 2 and 3 came out and I just barreled through them just cause I kind of like the story and atmosphere. Then ODST came out and killed my boner for anything Halo untill they started showing more of Reach. Then it ignited my want for it (I wanted to have nothing to do with it at first). I don't consider myself a super fan or anything, but like I said, now-a-days Halo isn't near the best FPS game at all. There are plenty of games much better than it. However, I still want Reach. lol And Midian, you didn't like KZ2?! What was it that made the experience horrible for you bro? Cause for me it is still my favourite Multiplayer FPS game. I spent countless hours on that game when it first came out. Never even beat the camp, just spent all my time on the MP. Class systems rev my engine. And all the classes were over powered and cool. hahaha I am definitely excited for 3.
I couldn't really place my finger on the problem, but I wasn't alone... there were swarms of complaints and people expressing their disappointment with the MP.
But there were also swarms of people who loved it. ^.^ I fall in that category. It was by no means perfect. When I first picked it up it felt like controlling a snorlax with a gun. Everything felt heavy. A few tweaks with the controls schemes, some minor changes with the sensitivity and I was murderin. The one thing I could do without though was the party system and squar system. Seemed kinda retarded. And the lobby load times to find a game was disastrous. But other than that it was a great game imo.
Not sure which shooter I want more, Brink or Crysis 2. They both have parkour systems, but they work in different ways. Brink has awesome mission selection so everyone does their part, whereas Crysis 2 is just classic multiplayer with a few twists. Killstreaks in Crysis 2 that are different than COD but I'm sick of killstreaks now anyway. Brink has awesome customization and seamless transition between offline and online. Crysis 2 is realistic for graphics, while brink has an art style similar to TF2. But I'm getting both so why should I care Edit: Just read my own post and now thinking Brink is better based on what I said. And killstreaks in C2 happen when you get a melee kill, headshot, or grenade kill I believe. Then the enemy you kill will drop a dog tag, you pick it up, and then once you get so many dog tags I think you get a killstreak. It's currently unknown whether the killstreaks reset when you die, but I'm guessing they do. Edit 2: For people that were in the MoH beta, what were some of the bad things about the game?
Everything. lol It was just bland man. It was nothing more than MW2 and BFBC2 mixed in an awful way. I won't be getting it. Especially if all the maps are as small and pointless as the one provided. They wanted it to be more "Tactical" but it was no more tactical than MW2 (if you can even claim that game to have any tactical prowess to it)
On another note, involving Valve. I really hope they do a remake of the Orange Box (that's not buggy, or a Half Life Collection) bring L4D1 & 2 over and I might forgive them. The best version of Portal 2 doesn't cut it. I'll wait for the reviews, and then I'll get it if it does good.
Yeah I'd highly suggest that before going on full swing to get it. It's really not that great... but it was a beta. Who knows.
They'd have to be sure that the amount of people who would purchase a PS3 copy is high enough first. There's no point to porting a game if most who would have bought it for PS3 already have gotten it for the 360 or PC. It becomes even harder to justify porting over a game that already has a sequel, so I wouldn't hold out for or L4D anytime soon. And if you need the games so badly, why don't you just get them for PC? Real dickish of you to hold personal vendettas against Valve for no reason when the materials you want are readily available.
The Orange Box is already on PS3, they won't be fixing it up. As for L4D, I'm not a fan, but I think it'd be worth their while considering Live has just gone up and PSN is free. With L4D being primarily an online game they'd find a great audience of people wanting to play it for free. Even I'd give it another chance.
Orange Box is just so buggy, you can still buy it, but for $50! No way! I have a Mac and don't really wanna redownload Steam and then hook a credit card up to it either. I played Portal (while it was free) then uninstalled.
Aww, crap, I forgot that Orange Box was already on the PS3. Personal fail. But I still think that a L4D1 refresh is a little far-fetched. Much like BioWare only decided to port over ME2, Valve probably doesn't think the user base would be too great if both the original and the sequel were available. The multiplayer is probably the biggest selling point, and everyone would just buy L4D2 for that.
MS published games have been released on other consoles before... they just got a new publisher. It makes it less likely, but not impossible. Anyway, I wasn't really referring to L4D with my previous post, just the franchise in general, be it L4D2 or even a future game.
While I enjoyed L4D, L4D2 just seemed like an expansion vs. a whole new game. Didn't feel it was worth the $60 myself.
Windows version was published by EA. It'd be easy enough for them to switch it to the PS3 if they wanted to, no?
