WOW. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-08-23-mafia-ii-review?page=2 Definitely glad I decided to cancel my pre-order.
I called it. Actually I'm not sure I mentioned it on here, but I remember saying I wasn't thrilled by the demo.
Has anyone played NFS: Hot Pursuit yet? Is it any good? My wife really wants to get it and I wanted to get opinions on it before I dedicate the buy. She really wants it though so I am sure we will get it anyways, and I am sure she will enjoy it. But will I? hahahaa Edit: It has not come out yet. I should read more >.> I'll watch vids on it ahhahaa
Anyone have any great split screen or same console MP suggestions? My wife and I like all types of games so any genre is great.
Do you have both 360 and PS3 consoles? I can't remember. Anyway the main same-console MP games I play are: LittleBigPlanet Street Fighter IV Resident Evil 5 Rock Band 2 Borderlands The Lego games (Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Batman/Harry Potter) Gears of War 1/2 Earth Defense Force 2017 CoD: MW2 Sacred 2
Yeah I have all systems under the sun pretty much. We played LBP for a while, wife didn't like RE5 cause it wasn't near as good as RE4 (she owned that game up) and we liked Sacred 2. I never thought about the Lego games, had no idea they were split screened either. She is going to go nuts over the Harry potter one. lmao Borderlands and MW2 were a little tough for her as she is barely getting used to the FPS genre (I honestly don't think she enjoys them all that much) but she tries. She never did like SF games though, she's a MK chick And she simply cannot get into the music game genre. She has such a hard time even on the easiest settings. She finds them virtually impossible... poor thing has no coordination for it. *laughs* Thanks for the suggestions Midian. We thank you very much =D
Fighting games are always fun for offline multiplayer (well, that's essentially what they're for ) and Borderlands was fun when I played it with my friends. Also, Sacred 2 had offline multiplayer?
Yes and it's a blast. It wasn't split screen though, it was just one screen with both people on it so you can't stray from each other. It was literally one of the funnest MP experiences on a same console I've had tbh. Hack N Slash RPGs ftw!
Yeah, only it's single screen, not split, so you can't separate. I think the PS3 version fixed a lot of issues the 360 one had, I can't remember what they were exactly but it was pretty crippling which is why I waited for the PS3 release.
Oh right, I only had the PC version, which was essentially a diablo clone. Dunno what changes they made when they brought it to consoles though. Also, if your wife finds Borderlands tough, you could give her a more powerful character. That's the difference between an FPS and an RPG-FPS .
The only reason that I still own MW2 is because of the split screen co-op. It's actually pretty good (unlike the online multiplayer). I like the sniping levels in particular and the snowmobile races are always fun.
Hey, does anybody Have the playstation eye? How long is the cord for it? I want to get the playstation move, but my setup has a projector with a console closet in the back, so it'd need to be a long cord for the eye. Anyone else wanting to get Move? I might sell my wii to get more money for it.
So I'm seriously considering getting a PS3 soon. My only hesitation is not knowing what titles are available for small kids. Besides Little Big Planet what else is available? Your advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Not all that much to be honest, but the number is bound to increase when Move is released. EyePet is a popular one for the kids, it's out already but a Move version is on the way which probably works a lot better.
That's what I thought. There's a lot of movie/tv show tie-ins for kids but nothing looks all that good. I hadn't heard of EyePet before you suggesting it. Looks pretty good. Exactly the type of thing I was looking for actually. Thanks!
Along the with upcoming MOVE, there are a few good titles like modnation racers. Also on the playstation store there are a lot of games good for small kids.
