Yah, but I've never played a Spyro game... But I'd get the other game later on, so I might go with Spyro and get Crash, Spyro 2 then Crash 2, etc. Just need one to get to start off with.
This is the reason I said Crash. Spyro hasn't held up well at all... it wasn't as good as Crash in the first place anyway, but Crash is still uber-awesome.
Get crash 3 and rayman 2. Crash 1 and 2 are kinda fun but not worth paying for, and I never played spyro.
I have The Wrath of Cortex, played it and it was fun. But I'm probably going to go with them both at the same time anyway. I also purchased Rayman 2 on my iPod Touch anyways, so hopefully Gameloft will fix the glitch so I can get past level 2
Picked up Heavenly Sword and Dark Void at gamestop for 10 bucks each. I'm loving all of these older, slightly underrated and overlooked games! I'm having SO much fun with Heavenly Sword, Mirrors Edge, Red Faction Guerilla, and Brutal Legend. About to try out Dark Void!
There was nothing wrong with Heavenly Sword. What killed it for me is the extremely short story lol. But for 10 bucks it's a steal.
Yeah, I agree. The Metacritic scores were pretty low (like... 82 or so) however, just because of the low playtime. For ten bucks though, who cares if it's only 8 hours!
Oh it took me far less than 8 hours to beat. I think it only lasted like 6 hahahaha but still, it looked pretty and was loads of fun to play.
Well, if that's the case, I can return it anytime this week for my 10 bucks. Haha depends on how much fun I have with it.
Still four times longer than a movie for less than the cost of travel to the cinema, food and tickets
Depends how many games you buy I guess. If you only buy 5 a year then you should easily be able to manage a bunch of mid-90s scores to ensure you're getting the best of what's out there. I end up buying about 35-40 or something ridiculous so I have to broaden my range. 70-100 is generally where I stand. ...although Earth Defense Force 2017 is sitting at 69, and it's absolutely epic.
Yeah usually anything over 70 is good for me, maybe I just have lower standards than other people, since 82 being a low score seems quite ridiculous to me. There has been the odd game which has gotten below that which I enjoyed and thought deserved a better score anyway.
Well, kinda. Most of the games I buy are at a 85 or above. If I'm buying it new at release it has to be around a 9 to be worth 60 bucks for me. If it's 30 or less though and looks unique, I'll pick up anything as low as a 60. And yeah, 10 bucks isn't bad at all. Going to a new movie at a nice theater can cost around 20 bucks sometimes! Luckily we have a little cheap theater by my house.
It's good if you don't expect too much from it. It's fairly linear, although it does have a fair share of sidequests. The combat flows quite well and is quite strategical and challenging at times. Well, on the PC. If you're playing on a console, take out the strategical bit. Character development is pretty good, as with most Bioware games, but the story in this case I thought was a bit too cliche, for some reason things kept giving me a LOTR feel, like I'd seen it before. But overall I'd say it's worth it. Edit: Also, here's a work-in-progress video for the upcoming Dragon Age II, if anyone's interested: http://gameinformer.com/games/news/m/mediagallery/430825.aspx
